we were happily chatting while we look in the beautiful view; completely forgetting about what happened earlier.
my phone then beeped, and as i look to see who texted, it was wonshik.
fr: wonshik
meet me right now, please. 6th floor's terrace. i'll explain.
i was about to ignore it when i saw someone walking in the terrace.
"oh shit, is this the 6th floor?" i asked hangyeom.
"yes, dumbass. why?" i furiously shook my head and faced him.
"let's go... somewhere else?"
"er? just ten seconds ago you were admiring the view and now you want to go somewhere?"
i was about to open my mouth to speak, but then a loud voice once again made my mouth shut.
"hyerin!"
hangyeom looked for the owner of the voice and then mumbled, "oh. sorry." he gave his famous sheepish smile and wrapped his arm in my waist.
i glared at him and pushed his forehead with my index, but still not making his arms release from the hold of my waist.
"hyerin." i faced him and smiled, "can i talk to you?"
"for what? lol. and where's your girlfriend?" i asked, as nice as possible.
he sighed, "she went home already. now, may i?" he eyed hangyeom and hangyeom eyed me, asking if he should. i hesitantly nodded.
"text me if you're done." he smiled at me and at wonshik, "dont you dare touch my girl."
until hangyeom's not seen, he's yet to talk.
"hyerin, look."
"you're called me more than enough in a day, wow."
"she said that the boy from last night wasn't her boyfriend, but a friend. a friend only."
"oh yeah, a friend? idc, but a friend–– in a night, holding hands, alone in a bench, face closer than bestfriends, yeah, a friend. absolutely. you're dumb."
"i.. okay, im dumb. but i love her. that's why i dated her again."
"okay, let me rephrase that. dumb, stupid and you're a fucking retard. you knew my feelings for you and you're rubbing it in my face now? woah there, my friend. –– oops no, classmate. let's just go back to what we were before the wedding. but here, thank you, classmate. for saving my ass when i was about to get raped. gotta kris and find hangyeom."
i turned my back on him and started walking away, leaving him again.
"hyerin." i stopped on my tracks when i heard my name loud enough to be said, "i like you too. its just that–– im sorry."
"save that, fucking retard."
"but are you really dating hangyeom again?"
i left him with no answer, and started calling hangyeom.
"hello, hello, hello!!"
"bitch dont do that again??? i wasn't informed, neither ready to throw the phone."
"i can see how pissed you are. you're on sight." then he hung up. someone suddenly covered my eyes, and by the warmth of the hands, i can definitely say that it was hangyeom's.
"let me go, bastard." i playfully nudge his tummy, which was –– uhm, yeah.
he let go and got my hand, dragging me to hooman knows where.
"where to?"
"the car. to the park."
"oh, kay."
we rid and went to the park with a fun vibe, hangyeom sensing that it wasn't the right time to ask me about the talk i had with wonshik awhile ago.
---
we laid in the soft grass, just staring at the black sky.
it was a quiet night, as it was a school day tomorrow. but i didnt care less, i need to relax more.
"she wasn't really pregnant." hangyeom suddenly said, and i faced him with wide eyes.
"what the actual fuck song han fucking gyeom, fucking explain right now, right here, you ass." i said, sitting up so suddenly.
he chuckled and i said, "how the fuck do you have the manners to laugh it is a fucking serious time right here."
"you sure still curse a lot."
"excuse fucking me, i said explain the fuck you just said that she wasn't pregnant!"
"okay, okay. chill." i wriggled my eyebrow for him to continue. he sat up, "she wasn't really preg––"
"you fucking said that already song hangyeom, explain faster."
"just let me finish, god, hyerin." he chuckled again and tried my hardest to calm down. "her father and even soeun, wanted us together." he looked down, "i love you very much hyerin, but i guess, fate wasnt on our side. her father talked to me on the phone before we talked to you. he said that his friend's company was what your father was working on. –– i couldn't drag the conversation on, he just said that just a single word to his friend, and your dad would be fired. i was scared because i knew how uncle really loved what he was doing. so i asked soeun, what should we do, and she said to break up with you right away."
"oh..... kay." silence filled the air, and fortunately, was not awkward. i hesitantly hugged him because i feel like to, and i think he needed it.
"im so so sorry, hyerin." faint sobs was the only thing i heard, and all i did was pat his back since i wasnt someone who was good at comforting someone.
when he was okay, i asked, "how did you get here though?"
"i reported it to the police, because i saw a recorded call the same day we broke up. turns out everything, our conversation, my and soeun's conversation, and even me and her dad's."
"fuck that family."
"its basically under child abuse." when we shared eye contact, we chuckled and just laid again in the grass.
"you're not that actually mad at me, are you?"
"not already, lol. so stop acting like a baby."
"would i still be a baby if i did this?" i looked at him confused, and he was suddenly on top of me.
i closed my eyes getting ready, but then his hands cupped my cheeks and kissed me on my forehead.
"you're still cute." another kiss, "you still blush." another kiss, "and i still love you." another kiss.
it was like the sky to me, and everything was so complicated. my insides were complicated, my feelings were complicated.
he suddenly let me open my eyes, and kissed me on my nose, "but," another kiss, "i know," another, "you like another," another, "and that's not me." he plopped beside me and looked up again, but with a smile.
"sorry.. hangyeom. i'll sort it out. okay?" i sighed and let the night pass by.
