Chapter Fifteen:

Angel jumped on my bed the next morning, “C’mon Shaney, you need to get up so we can go to school.” Her red hair was so bright that I winced at its closeness.

“Okay, okay, give me a second.” I sighed into the pillow and stretched hugely. How I seemed to bend was different, like I could bend farther than possible. I sighed annoyed, since yesterday I noticed tiny things were different. Like my weight, I didn’t look different in weight but I felt a lot lighter. My eyes were a big thing, I couldn’t see right in the light but when it was dark I could see perfectly fine and it was more comfortable too anyway. And last night I didn’t go to sleep till about 2am. Now I’m more flexible?

I decided to test this flexibility and got out of bed o I could stand. Then I bent my back so I could touch the floor and grip onto my legs. Now my back was touching my butt and my head was between my legs. Just then Gavin and Angel walked in and Angel stared at me in shock.

“What the hell?” her voice went up a few notches.

“Uh, I woke up more flexible?” my voice made it sound like a question. Gavin was eying me like candy. “Oi, stop drooling.” I glared at him and he blushed.

“I still cant read you.” She pouted and sat on my bed. I stood up straight and sat next to her. “It’s strange and I don’t get it. I can see you in the future and you’re fine, I can read you and you have your abilities…”

“Don’t fret sweetie,” I kissed her head, “Let me get dressed, go down and eat something too.”

She nodded and skipped out of the room. I watched until Gavin started walking towards me with a plate of food. He smiled at me and I thanked him before scarfing it down. For some reason I wasn’t satisfied with the fool bacon and sausage. I got a craving for steak. Raw. My stomach turned right when I finished and I handed Gavin the plate. “Ok, I’m going to go get dressed, thanks again.” I kissed him softly and went to my closet.

When I had my clothes it was time for a shower. I shut the bathroom door behind me and paused. There was a buzzing in here, nothing should be buzzing. When I looked around all I could find was a fly, it landed on the window and the buzzing stopped. I shook my head when I could hear the scratching it made while it cleaned its face. Ew.

I turned on the shower but that didn’t drown out the noise. Then I could hear Gavin and Angel talking together. It made me smile, I was so glad he was okay with having her here. I jumped when I heard a loud surge of air trying to get out of a small space. It stopped when the shower was letting the water come out.

My mind reeled, I knew I could hear better but not this well. Then this morning, I shivered at the thought, I wanted raw meat. How did I even know I wanted it? I’ve never had meat raw before.

The water got warm so I went in and stood there for a few seconds, letting the water relax me. I took my shampoo and made a heavy, foamy layer in my hair. Doing this felt weird, I stopped but the tingling kept going. I groaned in frustration, this had to stop at some point. Right? This couldn’t go on forever.

I couldn’t go to school if I keep changing slowly. This made me angry, I hated being controlled by something I couldn’t control. It made me so angry that I noticed my anger was a little too intense. I couldn’t help it and punched the wall in front of me. The tiles crumbled onto the shower floor, I cursed under my breath and looked at my skin, to watch the blood and wound heal. But there was no wound to begin with.

This was it, I couldn’t go to school now and I had to figure out what was happening. I shut off the water once I rinsed my hair and the tingles stopped immediately, great now im reacting to water.
