Bumps and Tumbles part 1

We are into our 5th movie; The Little Mermaid which is Brad's favourite. His favourite song Kiss the Girl starts playing.

Brads POV

I am so tired I can't keep my eyes open. I really want to hear this song but it sounds like a lullaby from when I was a baby. My eyes close almost instantly and I feel something stroking my hair. James. It has to be.

James POV

Brad and I are watching a Disney film and we are into the Little Mermaid. Brad is really tired now he's actually asleep next to me. I really enjoy his company.

"Are you sleeping?" I ask glancing down. He snuggles into my chest. "Aww." I whisper.

I take off my scarf and fold it before using it as a pillow for Brad's head. I place it under his head trying not to wake Brad up.

"James?"

"Sssh it's alright go back to sleep." Brad closes his eyes as I kiss his head. I engulf Brad into a hug tight enough to keep him safe. I turn the volume down to let Brad sleep.

"Sleep well buddy." I whisper to him.

2 hours later Brad wakes thrashing in his seat. I can actually feel him slumping  in my lap.

"Are you alright?" I ask him. 

"Its really hot in here." Brad moans. I place the back of my hand onto Brad forehead. 

"Can I take your temperature?" I ask and he nods. The thermometer is in my backpack so I rummage for it before placing under Brad's tongue. I take it out after a minute. It reads 39.5. 

"My poor buddy you've got a little fever." I raise one arm up to adjust the air  condition above Brad's head putting it on a gentle blow. Brad sighs and I run my fingers through his hair . "Its alright buddy." I shush him placing a sleep mask over Brad's eyes. after placing a kiss on Brad's cheek I want to talk to him but he's fallen asleep so I won't.

"I love you buddy." I whisper in his ear tucking his curly hair behind it.
