Third Pers. Pov
Jungkook And The LettersThe near eighteen year old boy sat in his office, looking through old resident files, whistling softly.
His bodyguard sat in the chair across the room, a few feet away from the king's crowded desk.
The older looked around, crunching on his Hot Cheeto's, before sighing, and speaking. "You've been at this for hours, Jungkook, don't you think we should go downstairs for dinner with the othersㅡ"
"No! I mean. . . Ugh." Jungkook let his head fall onto his desk, hard. "I'm sorry, hyung, I'm just trying to figure this out."
"Grey wouldn't want you involved with the whole situation with Hoseok, you know how she is," Tae stood up, walking to Jungkook and looking over his shoulder. "Ah, there I am!"
Jungkook smiled, giggling softly. "You were so adorable~! Kim Taehyung, born December 30th, 1995. Born in the Light Realm though. . .
"Later moving into the castle because of his grandmother's job, meeting the prince Jeon Jungkook and his friends," The two friends smiled, before falling into a fit of laughter.
"I remember when we met! You were almost six and I was seven, then one day I found you in the kitchens eating lamb skewers with Yoongi!" Tae leaned against his shoulder, laughing loudly at the memory.
"And then, youㅡ!"
They were interupted by the door to the office opening quickly, followed by Namjoon entering, panting and in slight shock. "Your majestyㅡ"
"Namjoon!"
"Sorry. Jungkook! I have a letter,"
The two straightened, clearing their throats awkwardly before Taehyung sent Namjoon a smile. "Yeeees?"
"It's from Grey!"
There was a small silence, before Jungkook leaped from his seat and sprinted to the older.
Namjoon handed him the letter, before Taehyung ripped it open, murmuring the written words under his breath.
"I forgot about Christmas!" Jungkook scolded himself, literally, earning stares from the other two in the room.
"Jin got one too," Joon said,
"Why didn't I get one?" Tae's smile faded slightly, turning into a small pout.
"That's exactly what I'm asking. . ."
Jungkook was confused as well, but for a different reason. Grey barely sent letters, because they were always being sent to her by the other's.
Yes, she would respond, but she never really wrote letter's and sent them.
He remembered she'd have such long letter exchanges with Hoseok when they were younger, but when he disappeared and they had no memory of him, she stopped writing letters in general.
It was like, a way to drain away what had happened.
Jungkook hurried back to his desk, almost knocking over a very tall lamp on Tae's head. He sprinted for a piece of parchment, getting a pencil and falling into a 'zone'.
Taehyung, perched over his shoulder, read out loud for Namjoon.
"Dear Noona, who the hell hurt you? Why are you suddenly sending us lettersㅡ Well, because she can, Kook." Tae said, shrugging.
"No no, you don't get it. She's trying to tell me something. I have a feeling it's important, I just don't know what it is." Jungkook turned to Namjoon.
"Have you given Jin his?" The older shook his head, handing it to Jungkook.
The majesty tore open the letter before Namjoon could protest over any privacy of the letter, just sighing and waving it off.
Jungkook skimmed over the letter, before throwing it down in frustration. "There'sㅡ There's nothing! There's nothing, but I know somethings wrong, I can feel itㅡ "
"Kookie," Tae grabbed the younger by his shoulder's, giving him a soft look. "It's okay, it's not the end of the world. You have so much time to figure out what's wrong."
Jungkook sighed, rubbing his eyes from the drowsiness. "Can I sleep on you, hyung?"
Taehyung smiled. "Sure,"
The boy curled up into Taehyung's arms, the older falling into the couch and humming lightly.
Namjoon smiled, nodding. "I'll see you tomorrow, alright?"
"Alright."
