"joy to the world. . ."

"Um," I looked at Jimin, before nodding at the others. "Yeah. But can I get hugs now?" I held my arms out, waiting slightly.
Yoongi scoffed, before a light and barely visible yet genuine smile creeped onto his face, and he slowly pulled me in for a hug.
"How have you been?" He whispered,
"I've been good, I've been missing you though. Even if you are right here," I nodded into his shoulder, before he pulled away and the hug was replaced by Taehyung.
"Greyyyy~"
"What, you weirdo?"
"Nothing, I just missed you," He hugged me a little tighter, pulling back and giving me a sweet, boxy smile.
"My turn!" Jin said, opening his long arms for me to wrap into, making me laugh, before I returned the hug, as he kissed the top of my head in greeting.
"Yay, you haven't really gotten taller, you old man." I said, as he pulled away, feeling a little saddened because the hug was so brief.
"I'm not old! I'm still handsome, aren't I?"
There was a sharp silence.
"Whatever," Namjoon murmured, giving me a dimpled smile and a peck on the cheek, making me wince in disgust.
But nonetheless I hugged back.

"I'm bored," Jungkook murmured, as the older adults (featuring me) had small conversations in the kitchen.
The television was one with one of my favorite classics, but everyone but Jimin seemed to think it was boring.
It seems as though he was trying to avoid the others, maybe are and/or both nervous.
I didn't blame him though.
Mostly because these people are lunatics and could probably get you killed in a heartbeat, but let's not talk about that.
"If you're bored, mㅡmaybe go busy yourself with something. When I was younger and we waited for midnight to come, my brother and I used to talk about what we wanted for Christmas while we made a fort from some blankets. . ." Jimin trailed off when he noticed everyone's eyes on him.
Jungkook eyed the boy. "That actually seems like a good idea. . . Hyung, let's build a fort!"
I hasn't seen Jungkook act like this in a long time.
Just actually have time to be a kid and be overall cheerful. He's always forcing seriousness upon himself, but it's nice to see him this way.
Taehyung spoke, "Grey, just in case you're wondering where your blankets are, we took them." The two raced up the stairs to my room, coming down with my blanket and many of my pillows and stuffed animals.
I sighed, turning back to Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jin. "I missed us doing this. Just talking about random things."
"Yep," As usual, Joon still had Mickey in his lap, cooing at the dog.
"Hey, I got a joke!"
We all groaned, before turning our attention to Jin.
"Why did the snowman name his dog Frost?"
". . . I dunno. Why?"
"Because frost bites!" He fell into a fit of laughter, causing Jimin go as well as he listened from the couch.
"That was pretty funny though,"
Yoongi turned his head. "Once you get used to them, no, they become the scariest shit you'll ever hearㅡ"
"Language!"
Jimin covered his laughs, giving me a soft smile that could make anyone's heart literally flutter.
That reminded me of something I didn't want to remember.
When was I going to tell Jimin? Tell him that I was born in another world? Tell him that a young king was sitting right in front of him? Tell him that I've been lying about where I've been going?
I couldn't tell him any of that.
Not yet, at least.
