Jin: Babysitter

I opened the fridge only to see an empty carton of milk and an apple making me sigh

"Mom!" I called looking around the house for her, I stopped the moment I layed my foot at the living room, it was my mom with that guy

Oh how rude of me to say something so dull about him

That handsome and scorching hot guy.

He babysits my little brother for weekdays whenever my parents go to a business trip or something and since I'm also a busy college student, I can't watch my brother with all my tasks alone

"What is he doing here? Euntae's not home, he went out with dad" I stated

"Oh he won't be babysitting your little brother but you" my mom smiled at me innocently, my left eye twitched feeling embarrassed because of her sudden plans

"Mom, can I talk to you for a minute? Privately." I said and went to the kitchen waiting for her to follow me

"What's wrong dear?" She asked arriving at the kitchen

"Mom I'm already a legal adult, I don't need a babysitter, what is he suppose to think about me? He's going to think that I'm irresponsible" I said ruffling my hair frustratingly

"You got the hots for this guy don't you?" She asked chuckling

"When did you even started using slangs like that" I said making her chuckle again

"So you do?"

"I don't mom"

"Really now?

"I really don't"

"Even though I'll say he's a great cook, has a college degree, a very sweet guy and is really responsible?" She said smirking at me

Shit, that's what I want in a guy

"So you do like him"

"Okay fine, he's my type but that doesn't mean I like him" I answered

"Okay fine, we'll be going on a vacation with Euntae for a month and I know how busy you are with your studies that's why I didn't bother asking you to come..."

That's very sweet of you mom but I would say no anyways, I need to make my grades high

"So Jin is here to help you with your needs, he can cook you breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, he also can clean the house-"

"It's not just a babysitter anymore mom neither a maid, it's slavery, I won't be surprised if he's gonna sue us one day" I said making her laugh

"No doubt you're really your father's daughter" she said hugging me close

"Just be nice for atleast a month" she smiled making me smile too

I guess we'll be alone for a month then

"Oh you're home!" Jin welcomed me as I smiled at him, one week already went by and I am left alone with him in this house, come to think of it, my parents left me with a stranger alone in the house but I can assure he's a trustworthy man, if he's not then our euntae could've been killed or our house could've been empty one day but to be honest, as the days go by we got closer and I might've grown feelings about him? Somehow, I'm still not sure yet

"Are you hungry?" He asked smiling at me

I looked at him to examine his features, he has very broad shoulders, plump lips, cute smile and those loving eyes-

"Hello? Earth to Y/N?" He chuckled waving his hands infront of his face

"I know I'm handsome but that doesn't mean you could check me out anytime you want" He said making me snort

"Yeah Jin, whatever keeps you asleep at night" I said taking my shoes off

"So as I was asking, are you hungry? Do you want me to make dinner already?" He asked, come to think of it, he's really caring for me, he always checks up on me, always asking whether I want something or need anything, he's really sweet just like what my mother stated

"Let's eat outside, I don't want to tire you out from cleaning and cooking" I said making him smile

"Did you just ask me out?" He asked grinning at me

"I did but not because of "that" reason" I said making him chuckle

"It's a date then" he smiled

"Whatever Jin, I'll just change into something comfy then we're off to go" I said walking upstairs

Honestly, I wouldn't mind

"So what would you like?" I asked him looking at the menu

"It's expensive here, let's just eat at mcdonalds or something" he whispered  not letting the waiter infront of us hear

"Nope and besides, I'm the one whose paying for it, just eat" I said and looked at the menu again

"I'll have one seasoned beef angus steak with a glass of ice tea and for you?" I asked Jin infront of me

"Just water please-"

"He'll have this beef angus steak glazed and marinated with barbecue sauce and also a glass of ice tea" I ordered and the waiter left

"You know you shouldn't have"

"It's alright, just think of this as a token of my gratitude for taking care of me and my family" I said making him smile

We ate our dinner peacefully while sharing stories to each other, I did learned a lot from him, from his dreams of being a singer to his friends nearly brothers that is always there to keep him happy even though he said he can be a mom towards them sometimes, I think I like him no scratch that

I really like him

The both of us went to a nearby sea, it was very refreshing to hear the waves as they touch our feet while the cold fresh air of the night hits our skin

"Y/N-ah"

"Hmm?"

"Look at those stars" he said as I did, looking up, my eyes met thousands of stars, it was shining right above us telling us how beautiful this world is

"Did you know that some of those stars are dead?" He said looking at me

"Way to go Jin" I frowned looking at him making him chuckle

"But they still leave their light for the others to see and make them feel happy"

(So I don't know anything about stars, this is just a cheesy move from your author hahaha)

"And you mean?"

"Just like people, even though they leave this world, they still manage to leave the others memories whether it's good or bad thus it makes them happy or sad"

"But that light is not gonna be there forever, it will disappear soon"

"That doesn't matter as long as the other stars shine for it, it will still be a part of them"

Silence erupted us as we looked at those stars until a shooting star passed by

"Did you see that Jin?" I asked excitingly since it's my first time seeing a shooting star

"Did you wish something?" I asked him seeing him closing his eyes and opening it again

"Yep"

"What was it?" I asked him smiling

"It's already granted" he smiled looking at me

"Tell me" I said shaking his arm making him chuckle

"Being here beside you alone under the beautiful night sky is my very wish."
