"Skylar?"

"Do I know you?" she asked, still smiling.

I didn't pay attention, I was focused on her bright blue eyes, the same blue eyes that I had fallen for. They were so full of life, like they always were but they held confusion, like she really did not remember me. I couldn't bring myself to speak proper words. As I stared at her in shock, hundreds of questions ran through my mind.

Was I seeing things!? Was my depression kicking in again, making me imagine things that weren't really there? Or was this really my Skylar? How was she alive? And why didn't she remember me?

Her smile faded as she furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion.

"Are you ok-" she started but was interrupted by a man coming up behind her and calling her.

"Babe? Ready to go?" he asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

He looked awfully familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it as I was still caught up on the woman standing in front of me.

How the hell was my Skylar standing in front of me when she's supposed to be... dead!? And why did this guy look so familiar?

"Yeah," she responded as she glanced back at me before walking away, hand in hand with the guy.

I watched as they disappeared from my sight, my breathing accelerating and suddenly it was hard to see.

I fell down to my knees, trying my hardest to catch my breath.

"Alex?" Lisa came up behind me, holding two ice cream cones in her hands.

She kneeled down next to me and dropped the ice cream cones to hug me as I started to cry.

Pathetic me, crying about my dead fiancé in the arms of my current girlfriend.

But after seeing what I saw, I wasn't entirely sure Sky was dead, I wanted nothing more than to believe that she was alive and that I had just seen her.

She was either alive, or I was going crazy... I prayed to so said God that it was the first thing.

"Lex, lets go home." she whispered in my ear.

I slowly got to my feet and followed Lisa back to my car. She took the keys from me and climbed into the driver's seat as I got in the passenger's seat.

We drove back to my house in silence, occasional sobs coming from me.

Lisa didn't even bother asking what was wrong since she knew I wouldn't tell her.

We pulled into the driveway and I immediately got out of the car, Lisa close behind me. I burst through the door and ran upstairs, into my bedroom.

"Hey?" Jack said as he saw me running up the stairs.

I ignored him and slammed the door to my room shut.

What was happening to me? I was going crazy! Skylar was dead! That couldn't be her, it couldn't!

I could hear Jack and Lisa talking from the other side of the locked door. And then everything went silent. I heard footsteps fading away and the front door open and shut.

I was guessing Lisa left. But Jack was still here and, most likely, was going to make me talk about it. And I was right.

I heard faint knocking over my pathetic whimpers.

"Alex? It's me, Jack. Please open the door." he mumbled.

I guess I did need to talk to someone, someone who would understand.
