"And remember to act like you hate me." Alex instructed as he zipped up my jacket as we waited by the entrance.

I sighed. "I get it, it's not that hard considering I did hate you about 2 days ago."

He chuckled. "Do you hate me now?" he asked, smirking at me.

I rolled my eyes and punched his shoulder.

He laughed as he began to put on his own jacket.

"Jack! We're ready! Hurry up!" I yelled.

Jack immediately rushed down the stairs shirtless and tackled Alex to the floor. I laughed when Alex tried pushing him off but failed.

It was nice seeing Alex and Jack happy again. It was nice seeing them being bestfriends again. It was nice having my life back... you know, other than the fact that a crazy Lisa and her spy were still stalking us. I wondered... how long would this go on? Would I have to wait my entire life just for them to mess up? I didn't like this, having to hide my love for Alex. It was so much easier when I thought he didn't love me but now? I couldn't. And what about Jack, Rian and Zack? Would they get hurt if Lisa found out that they knew? That we all knew? Would she torture them if she found out they were helping me? We were friends, Lisa and I. So what happened? Did she love Alex more than I did? No. No way. She was obsessed, obsessed with the love of my life and I wasn't going to allow that. Alex and I shared a unique love, one of a kind, exotic even, that no one, not even her, would tear apart.

Jack's absurd laughter brought me back from my daydream and I noticed both he and Alex staring at me with amusement.

"What?" I asked.

Jack shrugged. "You've been staring blankly at Alex for the past two minutes."

I ran a hand through my hair and shrugged. "I was just thinking, I didn't mean to."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "What were you thinking about?" he asked.

I shrugged again. "Nothing."

If I told him Lisa was worrying me, he'd stress out and begin blaming himself even if he had absolutely nothing to do with it. I knew him all too well.

"So lets go." Jack demanded, opening the door.

I slowly followed behind him and into the cool Baltimore air. My favorite season was just taking over... Autumn. I loved everything about it. The colors. The weather. The clothes. Halloween.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked.

"My mom wants to see you." Alex replied.

"Isobel?" I asked, my voice just above a whisper.

He flashed a reassuring smile at me, he knew I was freaking out on the inside.

I nodded and looked at the ground as we made our way to Jack's car.

"Shotgun!" Alex yelled.

I looked up and glared at him.

"Since when do you get privileges over my bestfriend's car?

He looked puzzled, like he wasn't expecting me to actually act like I hated him. What? It's not my fault I'm a good actress.

I quickly got in the passenger seat of the car while Alex got in the backseat. Jack soon started the car and we drove to... Alex's parents' house, which actually wasn't too far from their house.

"Either you're really good at acting, or you hate me again." Alex pouted.

I laughed. "You should know I take role playing very seriously."
