Alex
It's been two days since the incident with her ex- fiancé and it was intense, really intense. Skylar was torn, devastated about this whole situation. She didn't leave her bunk that entire day after the confrontation we all had. The only time I'd see her was show time, she'd be in the pit taking pictures but her mind was somewhere else. At least now I know why she didn't remember us but her pain wasn't worth knowing. I'd give up forever just to make her pain go away! I could only imagine how she was feeling, everything she knew was a lie! Then, I show up and tell her about what we had?! Nice going, Alex! But I had decided to keep the baby thing from her. She wasn't ready yet! I would tell her when the time was right.
I still loved her and having her close to me made my feelings for her grow even more, if that's possible. Only two things stood in the way, Lisa, whom had gone back to Baltimore for work purposes, not that I tried to stop her. And making Sky fall in love with me all over again. It seemed impossible since she didn't want to know anything that happened between us, I know, but I still had a chance to get her back. From what Jack told me, she is no longer engaged to that douch. That same guy who tried to hit her, the same guy who told me she had died! How did I not recognise him sooner? Jack said that he looked extremely different to what he looked like three years ago but, can someone truly change that much?
Now, after two days of begging, I had finally convinced Sky to come out of her bunk and join me for some coffee at Starbucks. We were in Albuquerque, New Mexico taking a day off and I had planned to spend the entire day with her and maybe, just maybe, make her love me again.
"How are you feeling?" I asked her after we had both finished our coffee.
"Better. I have decided to leave all the lies in the past and find who I truly was." she spoke with a small smile.
I knew she was telling the truth. She always held this look of determination in her eyes when she was.
"And you're gonna help me." she added, a smirk tugging on her lips.
"I am?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, you're the only person whom I've had flashbacks with so far and, what I got from them, I know I can trust you." she smiled shyly.
"Okay, ask me anything you want." I replied.
"What role did each of you play in my life?" she asked.
"Well, Zack was your skating/photographer buddy and he was also like a bodyguard. Rian was like your therapist, you'd go to him when you had problems. Jack, he was your idiotic bestfriend, the person you'd do stupid, fun things with. Over all, they were all like older brothers to you. Very over protective too." I said, a small smile tugging on my lips as I remembered small things.
"And you?" she asked, her voice just above a whisper.
"Me? I was like your diary. You'd tell me everything and anything. You knew everything about me and I knew everything about you." I replied, looking straight into her eyes.
I wanted nothing more than to tell her how much we loved each other, how much I still loved her.
"Are you still willing to be that person that I tell everything to?" she asked as she reached over the table and grabbed my hand.
I nodded and gave her hand a small squeeze.
"Thank you, Alex." she smiled.
I pulled my hand back and looked away. If I continued staring into her eyes I would end up telling her everything, and I mean everything! I was never good at keeping things from her and if I told her, she'd freak and never talk to me again. She wasn't ready yet.
