When you know someone deserves more
When they've gotten the bitter end of life,
When they continuously keep falling,
When they are knocked down everytime,
When they don't feel important,
When their significance is torn down;

When you want to help them so bad,
When you want to scream at everyone,
When you want everyone to be nice
When you want them to get what they deserve;
How do you help,
When you just can't be there,
When the blows are too powerful for you to fend off,
When they hit too close to home
When you pull them down with you
When all you want is to heal the wounds
When all other people left were wounds
When their heart is a battleground
When they fight everyday for nothing
When they're sorry for existing;
How do you let them know they're important,
When words aren't enough,
When actions won't reach them;
How do you fix a broken wing,
When others refuse to let it fly?
One day, they'll learn how to run,
Far away from all the hurt,
Climb a tree and feel the wind blow,
Cool breeze telling them it was all worth it.
It will be worth it.
