"How? When?" I asked disbelievingly.
"I don't care how or when, he's paying." Nate said and punched him right in the face. I heard a sickening crunch and Leon stumbled back and fell flat on his back. Within the nanosecond he touched the floor Adrian got on top of him and started punching his face. The twin grabbed his arms and black shadows were encircling them. Nate held down the legs, no doubt trying to break them. As soon as this started my head started to throb and my vision began to blur. My armed felt like lead and my legs had great amount of pressure on them.
I fell to my knees clutching my head.
"STOP!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
The boys stopped and looked at me. Instantly they were at my side.
"What's the matter?" Adrian asked examining my head.
I groaned in pain as he moved my head side to side gently.
"I'll be back." He said and left the room.
Nate lifted me and placed me on the counter top. "Here this should help stop the pain."
He poured some liquor in a shot glass and gave it to me. Head still rushing and hands suddenly trembling I reached for it.
I examined it before saying, "I don't think I'm allowed to drink this stuff." I let my eyes drift towards Leon who was still on the floor with a dazed expression. I slid off the counter top and stumbled to him, my head is still whirling.
"Derrick or Erick, whichever one, let him go." I said trying to pick him up.
"Why?" Derrick asked with attitude.
"The longer he's on the floor, the longer my headache." I said. With one final pull Leon was standing up leaning on my side.
"What happened?" He asked dazed.
I ignored his question and sat him down on the leather couch. My head wasn't getting better in fact it was worse. I ignored the pain and got a towel and put some ice on it.
"Why are you doing this Mel?" Nate asked.
I ignored that too and just put it over his eye that started to swell. Leon looked up at me with a grateful gaze. I left him and started to walk over to the counter. I took up my shot and downed it.
"Is the back of my throat supposed to burn?" I croaked.
The twins laughed, "You didn't even cringe at the taste."
"Her taste buds won't work and yes it's supposed to burn." Nate smiled and poured me another shot. "The pain should go away by the third one."
I downed it second one and asked for two shots instead of one. Nate looked at me quizzically and just shrugged. He poured me two shots. I took it and gave one to Leon. He got it and looked at me with a confused expression.
"I know you're in pain, well so am I. Drink up." I said and then gulped my third shot.
Adrian came in and gave me two little pills, "Aspirin."
I held up my empty shot glass, "Nate beat you to it."
Adrian shook his head and took my glass.
"Hey that's mine!" I whined. I ran (more like swayed) towards him. I almost got the cup but Adrian just extended his arm.
"Nate why did you give her liquor? She's a minor!" Adrian said.
"Like you're not." Leon spat.
"Shut it vamp. I'm 165, I am not a minor." Adrian replied.
