Peter brought Spider-Man back on Thursday night as promised.

It didn't go very well.

He stopped a total of six crimes on Thursday, but he got a killer black eye from one guy. May absolutely lost it and told him he had to stay home from school on Friday to rest.

During the time that the school was having lunch, Peter was sitting in the living room watching tv, until his phone buzzed.

Cora !
Hey are you okay?

"I hope he's alright." Cora sighed, picking her phone up quickly when it dinged.

Parker :)
Yeah I'm okay, just got punched last night so May wanted me to stay home.

Cora frowned when he said he'd gotten punched, texting back, 'awe :( are you still able to work on the project tonight?' Before she set her phone down.

"So what happened?" Michelle asked as she ate her lunch, noticing the sad look on Cora's face. Michelle didn't care for much other than what she believed in, school and her family, but Cora was in there too.

"He said he got punched last night so May wanted him home today," Cora explained and immediately picked her phone up when the screen turned on again.

Parker :)
Of course !! I'll be over at 5 if that's okay.

Cora smiled a bit before sending a 'great :) see you then' and setting her phone down, Michelle looking at her confused.

"Why are you smiling?"

Cora shrugged, "he said we can still work on the project tonight and that he's okay. I was just worried, is all." She told Michelle, who rolled her eyes.

Michelle knew very well that Cora had developed care for Peter Parker over the past 2 weeks. She noticed her glancing at him in P.E and in the halls, or sometimes actually talking with him in the hallway in the morning. It wasn't that Cora had a crush on Peter, it was that she was opening up their circle to him and Ned.. and Michelle was very reserved. She liked Peter, he was a nice kid, but Ned made the most inappropriate comments at the worst times.

Cora liked having Peter over not only for the project, but it was kind of fun to listen to his shitty science jokes, and truth be told, she could tell Penny was getting a tiny attachment to Peter. Of course, it was a joke, but Penny was always asking Peter questions and wanted to be around him all the time. Cora thought it was adorable.

When Cora got home that afternoon at 3:30, Penny was already home as usual and her Dad was rushing out the door to go to the nightclub job. The second her dad was gone, Penny ran to the front of the house but pouted when she only saw Cora.
