"I should actually be thanking you."

Peter glanced up at Jaquie as she cut off the phone call with Cora. He didn't know why he was here, who this woman was, or how she knew Cora or why the hell Cora was involved. He was tired, and scared. The last big problem he had faced was The Vulture, but he had known everything that was going on, and he had his web shooters to use. Here, wherever here was, he was cuffed to a heavy metal table around his wrists with shock bracelets, his ankles stuck to his chair, also with the bracelets. He already tried to get out with his strength, but the electric shock was so strong on his skin that it left a burn. This woman kidnapped him for an unknown reason, and was calling Cora. Saying he was scared was an understatement.
"Well, that concludes that call." Jaquie said, tossing his phone onto the table. "Now we wait."
"Wait for what? I.. I don't even know who you are or why I'm here.. How do you even know Cora? What does she have to do with this-"
Peter was cut off by her hand coming down and striking him across the face, giving him a shock. He wasn't really hurt, though. He had a building dropped on him before, a slap to the face was nothing. Not only that, but she had already hit him twice now for talking too much, that time was the third.
"You're not at all the way she described you.. she said you were shy, quiet.. you're just as much of a burden as she is." Jaquie scoffed and sat across from him, Peter turning his head again to face her. "And Peter.. my name is Jaquie. I'm sure you've heard of me."
Peter's eyes widened, and he leaned back in his chair as much as the cuffs would allow him to move without shocking him. This woman was Cora's mother? His mind was a whirlwind, trying to think straight.
"I know, you're shocked." Jaquie smirked, "and you're probably wondering why you're here. I'm gonna fill you in, don't you worry. You'll get to find out everything Cora has been keeping from you." She said with a small, devilish laugh.
Peter said nothing, almost afraid to talk. He watched her as she stood and picked up a remote, turning on the screen that was in front of the table.
"See, there's even a little presentation for you." She said, before she started.
During her little presentation of everything, from her coming back home, to the first time she drugged the family (except Cora), and she mentioned how Cora snuck out on Tuesday and Thursday night's. Peter found that one detail to be intriguing, considering the fact that they used to do their project on those nights, and that was when he would also meet up with Violet.
"You wanna know why she snuck out on this nights? I don't really think she told you." Jaquie mentioned, walking back over to the table. "Cora is the little Violet Knight. Y'know, the one that saved all of those people in the burning building with Spider-Man, and got some of my guys arrested while Spider-Man stayed on the roof. That was on 44th street just a little less than a month ago."
