Ever since Cora's date with Peter, they were texting nonstop, almost always talking. They had been talking about basically anything and everything, at one point having an hour long conversation about dogs. Peter admitted he was more of a cat person, mostly because he wouldn't be able to have a dog in an apartment.

At the same time, ever since the night that her mom tried to drug her (or at least it seemed that way), she was constantly on her toes. Jaquie seemed to ask many questions about Michelle and Peter, to which Cora would either give very vague answers, or blatantly lie. She didn't trust her, especially with her best friend and potential future boyfriend.

One thing that was eating Cora alive was the fact that while she was avoiding her mother and staying out of the house, it left her alone with Penny. When Cora realised this, she couldn't help but wonder if she had drugged Penny, or even her Dad. They had been oddly optimistic lately, and always agreed with whatever her mother said. Penny hadn't fought with Cora once over the past two weeks. Because Cora realised this, she quite literally hadn't left her house since she got home from her date on Tuesday.

"I don't know, MJ.." She sighed over the phone, whispering. She could hear her mother, father and Penny all laughing and talking downstairs. Cora was hiding in her room, explaining everything to Michelle. "I just seems like.. ever since she tried to drug me at that restaurant last week, I've constantly been on my toes. I'm practically an on pointe ballerina."

"Cora.." Michelle sighed, worrying about her so much it was killing her. "You know you can always come and stay with us. All I have to do is tell my mom that your mother is back and you're not happy."

"I can't, MJ. I can't leave Penny alone with her, there's something wrong with both her and my dad." Cora told her, her voice barely above a whisper. If her mother knew she was telling people of whatever she was doing, who knows what she would do. "Besides, I can't legally leave.. I'm not 16 yet."

"But that house is borderline abusive-"

"No, it isnt." Cora cut her off, "you can't just throw that word around, MJ. You know that. Nobody is hurting anyone, in any way, and I have no proof of my mother using some kind of hypnotic drug."

"That's it!"

"What's it?"

"A hypnotic drug, Co. Didn't her gang rob a pharmacy just last week? That was just before your dad and sister starting acting weird."
