*Cheryl's Perspective*
I sat in my room, staring at the piece of paper. Debating on whether or not to use it, but it felt too soon as it was only the day after. I sighed and got up from my bed to get ready for school. As I was getting dressed I couldn't help but think about Toni. The way she smelled last night... like vanilla.
As I was deep in thought my mother screamed, "Cheryl! Hurry up and go to school!" I rolled my eyes and finished getting ready. Putting on my signature red lipstick and grabbing my bag.
*At School* *Toni's Perspective*
I walked down the hallway, quickly scurrying to the bathroom. Tears were threatening to fall down my face in the hallway but I held them back until I got into one of the bathroom stalls, then they came bursting out.
I had gone to my uncles trailer this morning to get some clothes and leave but just as I was leaving he stopped me and punched me, square in the face. And he told me to never come back.
I had a black eye starting to form and a bloody nose as he got two good hits on me before I managed to get free of his grip and get on my motorcycle.
Once I stopped crying I headed out to the sink, my hands holding the edges of it and my body leaning over it. Then, anger started to burn inside me, and I punched the bathroom mirror. Shattering it.

I headed into the bathroom to do some touch ups before first period, but right as I was about to open the door I heard a loud shattering noise on the other side, making me jump. I slowly opened the door, and saw Toni, fist still clenched onto the wall that was once a mirror.
"Toni?" I asked worriedly, closing the door and locking it so no one would barge in. I slowly walked up to her, realizing she was sobbing as she turned her head towards me. Her knuckles were bloody and she had a black eye.
"Oh my god Toni what happened?" I asked quickly taking out some wrap I had in my bag, I always had some Incase something happened during cheerleading.
As I wrapped her hands she told me about what her uncle had done, I was infuriated. I wasn't sure why though seeing as I barely knew this girl. A couple minutes after she finished her story I had completely wrapped her hands.
"There, That should do-" I was cut off by Toni.
"I'm sorry, you didn't have to do this for me," She said looking down at her hands. "Thank you though Cheryl, I'll see you later." She said, quickly grabbing her bag and unlocking the door, running out of the bathroom. I was shocked and speechless.
*Toni's Perspective*
I ran as quickly as I could outside of the school and to a certain edge of the school I knew no one would be at right now. I stared at my hands and thought to myself, I'm so dumb, why did I tell Cheryl all those things. They aren't her problem. I buried my head in my knees and ended up sitting there for most of the day.
*Time Skip to Lunch* *Cheryl's Perspective*
I searched practically everywhere I could think of for Toni. She was nowhere to be found, I also noticed her motorcycle was gone. So I figured that she had just left school. I sighed as I sat on the bleachers.
Why was I searching for her? What was this girl doing to me? I feel so different around her, like how I felt with... no. I felt a single tear roll down my face which I quickly wiped away. I got up, about to head inside, when I spotted one pink haired serpent at work very edge of the school.
Once I realized it was Toni I rushed over to find she looked asleep. Her black eye looked worse and the wrap I had given her for her hands was bleeding through. She looked like a damn mess, but so peaceful. I decided to just sit down next to her and make sure nothing happened to her, it's not like anything important happened in class anyway.
When I got comfortable I leaned my head back against the wall and shut my eyes. Pretty soon I felt Toni's head rest on my shoulder. I was started at first but relaxed and took in her scent.
Vanilla...
