Toni's Perspective

It had been a week and me and Cheryl were finally back to normal. Talking and laughing, but nothing romantic. I didn't want to rush back into anything with her, of course I wanted to kiss her and hold her hand, but I kept in slow.

I was getting my science textbook out of my locker as I shut it and was greeted with Cheryl. "Hey Cha Cha." She say she smiling. "Hey Cherry." I say back, a small chuckle erupting from my lips.

"So I was thinking you could stay over this weekend if you're free. It's awfully lonely at Thistlehouse." She asks nervously. My features brighten at the offer and I immediately accept. Telling her I'd be over around 4 since I had to go home and pack some things.

The bell rang and we separated, both looking forward to the evening to follow us after school.

After School

I sat in my trailer listening to music, thinking about the only redhead that could fill my thoughts day and night. Then I realized I need to pack, and shot out of bed. I grabbed my plain black backpack and packed some clothes and toiletries, as well as my charger and a book.

I sprinted out the door and made my way to Cheryl's house, savoring the feeling that my bike gave me whilst riding. Once I arrived I headed up the stairs and knocked on the door holding the straps of the backpack. A few moments later Cheryl answered the door.

"Toni! Right on time. Come on in." She says moving to the side and allowing me to walk in. As I stepped inside I looked in and memories flooded back. This where I told her I loved her for the first time.

"Everything okay Topaz?" She asks, I guess I zoned out while thinking. I nod my head and ask, "So what should we do first?" Her facial features furrow as she thinks of what to do. I chuckle a little bit and give an idea for her, "How about we watch a movie?" I ask and she turns to face me with a smile.

We head to the couch and she puts on a movie that I've never seen, but I have to admit it was pretty good. We sat in silence as we watched what was happening. All of a sudden I hear a loud gurgling that erupted from my stomach. I look down at it and laugh, Cheryl had already fallen off the couch. "Guess I'm hungry." I laugh and pull the blanket off of me.

"How about we make pancakes?" I ask as I head into the kitchen. She squeals from the floor like a child yelling 'yes!' over and over again. I chuckle as I pull out the supplies, flour, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, etc. I turn around and squat down opening a lower drawer finding the right pan when suddenly I am covered in a white powdered substance.

I realize it was flour and turn around slowly seeing Cheryl holding the bag of flour. Her white hand covered her obviously smiling mouth, trying her hardest not to laugh. "You're in for it now Cheryl Blossom." I say snatching the bag from her and throwing the flour at her. Soon we were fighting for the bag in a fit of laughter until we drop it and it explodes on the floor, leaving us in another layer of flour.

I kneel over and take a handful, prepared to throw it at Cheryl but I'm knocked from my squatting position all the way on my back. Cheryl had tackled me and was now on top of me. I chuckle and use my overwhelming strength over her to put myself on top. We faintly laugh and go quiet for a moment. We stare at each other, and then I briefly glance at her lips before looking at her eyes again.

Before I could react Cheryl grabs my collar and pulls me into a deep kiss. I sigh into the kiss with relief and satisfaction. When we pull away I smile, "Took us long enough." I say laughing. "Cmon, we have pancakes to make, hopefully you have more flour..." I say and she laughs. I kiss her forehead before standing up and taking her hand and helping her.

"I'm gonna go get us a change of clothes, be right back." Cheryl says disappearing upstairs as I am left to linger over what just happened. I throw my head back in success and quietly shout, "Yes!"

Cheryl returns a few minutes later in a different outfit, her hair was damp as she probably washed the flour out of it, she was gone for ten minutes. I had finished cleaning the floor and table of all the flour while she was gone. I took the clothes from her and tried them on. It was some shorts with a ripped baggy grey shirt, it was surprisingly me. I put my hair under the sink and got rid of the flour in it, once again revealing my pink highlights.

I grabbed a towel and headed out of the bathroom, where I saw Cheryl already at work making the pancakes. I smile and walk up behind her as she flips a pancake. I grab her waist and she tense for a moment but relaxes. I put my face in her soft red locks breathing in her Cherry scent.

"I missed this. A lot." I laugh and feel her petite frame chuckle as well. "Me too. I missed you." She says turning off the stove and turning around, wrapping her arms around my neck. We stared at each other in contentment, until I too one of my hands and grabbed a pancake.

I tore of a little piece and spoke, "Open your mouth." She did and I popped the piece in and she ate it. "Wanna take these over to the couch and finish the movie?" I ask finishing the pancake. She nodded and I grabbed the plate heading over to the couch while she started the movie again.

When we finished the pancakes I set the plate on the counter and very slowly my hand made it's way to Cheryl's. I hesitantly placed the top of my fingers on hers, and she almost immediately wrapped her hand in mine. I smile as she rests her head on my shoulder, "So does this mean we're back together?" I ask looking down at our hands.

Suddenly Cheryl's lips are pressed against mine, soft and innocent. I smile into it and when we pull away she smiles, "Does that answer your question?" I laugh at the comment and put my arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me. Finally.

I had Cheryl back.
