*Toni's Perspective*

I was watching the cheer practice when I felt my phone buzz. I worked around the pain of my stomach and got my phone. It was a text from Jughead.

<Jug 🍔>

Jug 🍔: Hey, really sorry about this but I can't drive you home, Betty and me have a lead on a story and are headed somewhere. You'll have to get someone else, again, really sorry.

Me: It's alright, you get to wash the dishes when you get home now though.

I had started staying at Jugheads place more often so FP decided it would be good if I just stayed at their house.

Jug 🍔: Deal. Thanks for understanding.

Me: Yeah yeah, see you later.

And with that I set my phone back in my bag, and watched the rest of practice. I recognized the routine, the one I caught Cheryl practicing. She had made a few changes I could tell, but it was a really good routine.

Once it was over and she yelled at everyone to go change, she turned around, running her hands through her hair. She looked frustrated.

"Blowing up Bombshell?" I yelled from the bleachers.

She turned around on her heel and even though she was far away, I could see her face light up once she saw me. God she was adorable. "If I'm not I'm close to it, Topaz." She said making her way up the bleachers to me. "What are you doing here anyway?" She asked, confused.

"Well, I don't have a ride home and I guess I just wanted to watch you guys." I said nervously rubbing my neck. "What about Jughead? He's the one that drove you here isn't he?" She said.

"Yeah, but he had a thing. So I guess I have to find a new ride home." I said, chuckling. "I'll take you, anything to get away from my house." She said, giving me a warm smile. "You would? You don't have to-" she cut me off by saying, "Don't worry, it's not a problem" She laughed, getting up. "Give me a few minutes to get changed, do you need help getting down?" She asked. "I got up here by myself, I'll get down myself." I said giving her a cheeky smile, "Go get changed, I'll wait for you by the gym doors." I said, starting to get up.

I made my way down the bleachers with great difficulty and pain, but I did it. As soon as I made it to the gym doors, I heard the changing room door open and saw Cheryl walk out. She saw me and smiled.

We made our way to her car. She helped me inside and we started down the highway, making jokes and talking about what happened over the past couple of days. I was so focused on Cheryl I didn't even realize that she had taken us to a hill on the outer part of Riverdale. She got out without saying anything, opening the trunk and pulling out a blanket. She also got my crutches for me and helped me out of the car.

*Cheryl's Perspective*

I figured Toni needed a break from all the drama circling around her life now so I took her here, where I knew no one would bother her. I laid out a blanket on the grass, the sun was beginning to set as I helped her down onto the blanket. I had a spare pillow in the trunk for some reason, I wasn't sure why. So I gave it to her as she laid down, the pillow propping her up enough to see the sunset.

We made small talk when I noticed her holding something, "What's that?" I asked. She noticed and quickly closed her fists tight, so I couldn't get a glimpse, "N-nothing." She stammered. Now I was even more interested. "Oh really?" I said before jumping across her and grabbing her fists, trying to break the tight grip. The only thing I managed to do was hold onto her hands, and making her lay on top of me now.

"S-sorry." I stuttered, as our faces were only inches apart. She had completely forgotten about the object in her hand, which was still in her hand. However, her hands had made their way down to the ground on either side of me.

*Toni's Perspective*

Our faces were only inches apart, the amount slowly getting fewer. Damnit Topaz just kiss her already! I leaned in, closing the gap between us, placing my lips on her soft lips. I could feel her tense up, but soon she melted into the kiss. It's was long, and passionate. When we pulled away for air, she was blushing practically the color of her lipstick, with a wide smile, making me do the same.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that, Blossom." I said, a blush starting to appear on my face. Once I realized what I just did, my eyes grew wide. "Oh my god I'm so sor-"

"Shut up." Was all Cheryl said before placing her hand on my cheeks and kissing me again. I instantly melted back into it. We pulled away and she said, "As much as I would love to continue this, it's getting late."

"Yeah, you're right." I pouted, disappointed the moment was over so quickly.

We got up and Cheryl folded up the blanket, while I got situated in the car. I looked in my hand and saw the cherry brooch. I quickly folded up my hand as Cheryl stopped into the drivers seat. She turned on the engine and faced towards me, smiling. I blushed and looked down, "Just drive Blossom." I teased and she said, "Alright Queen of The Buskers."

When we arrived at Jugheads trailer he was waiting outside. Once we stopped I locked the doors so Jughead couldn't interrupt me. I turned towards Cheryl and held out my hand, revealing the cherry brooch. She gasped and took it, "Toni you didn't..how did you even get it?" She asked.

"I have my ways, we will talk about what just happened." I said, smiling as I unlocked the doors, allowing Jughead to grab my crutches and bag. He helped me out of the car and I shut it. Watching Cheryl drive off, I smiled thinking about all that just happened. Once we got inside and laid on the couch, Jughead finally asked, "So what's with you and Ms. Bombshell."

"You'll have to wait to find out Jug." I replied, smiling. I made my way to the bed, changing into some shorts and a ripped up T-Shirt. I stared at my phone's contacts and decided on one redhead.

<Cheryl 🍒>

Me: So, the kiss was perfect, what does that make us?

Cheryl 🍒: I agree the kiss was perfect, as for us...what do you want us to be?

Me: Guess we'll have to talk about it at Pop's, 7, tomorrow.

Cheryl 🍒: Sounds like a date to me Topaz.

Me: If that's what you want to call it, then yes. See you at school Blossom.

And with that I set my phone down, letting my mind drift me into sleep.
