Toni's Perspective

As I headed to school, I walked through the front door and something on the bulletin board caught my attention. A bright yellow flyer for Carrie The Musical. I looked at it and figured it was worth a shot, I could be a background dancer. I wasn't into acting and everything like that but I could sing and dance. I wrote myself down on the background dancers lost and headed to my locker.

Once I arrived I saw Cheryl, scrolling through her phone. I rolled my eyes and yelled, "Hey Bombshell." Her head quickly swiveled and she smiled as she saw me. "Hey Cha Cha, have you heard abou the new school musical?" She asks.

"Yeah, I think I'm gonna be a background dancer." I say grabbing a book from my locker and slamming it shut. "That's great! I'm obviously Carrie White, as if it's was a question. Well I have to get to class, bye Cha Cha." She kisses my cheek as I roll my eyes. She hasn't even auditioned and she's confident about her role, classic Cheryl. Then the bell rings and I make my way to my first class of the day.

End of The Day

I was leaning on the stairs outside of the school waiting for Cheryl. I scrolled through Instagram, seeing random posts and quietly laughing to myself at some of them. Then I heard the familiar clatter of heels, and looked up to see my georgeous redhead. Yes that's right, my, she's mine, and I'll never get tired of saying it.

"Hey Cheryl" I say before placing a quick kiss on her lips. She smiled and we drove back to my trailer on my motorcycle. The whole ride felt different, peaceful even. Cheryl's arms tightly wrapped around my waist as the wind blew through out hair. I was sad but content once we got to the trailer, our peaceful ride being over.

We walked into the trailer and quickly headed to my room. I threw my bag onto my bed and sat down at my desk as Cheryl examined the room. I grab my sketchbook and flip to the drawing I had been working on. I sat down on the bed as Cheryl quickly jumps up too. After a few minutes I could tell the silence was killing her, and finally she spoke. "What are you drawing TT?"

I quickly kid the drawing against my chest and eyed her, "Nothing." She gives me a look before shrugging her shoulders and sitting up next to me. She started playing with my hair before saying, "You are something else Topaz..."

Before I could answer her lips were pressed deeply into mine. I lost all sense of reality, all I could focus on was Cheryl's lips pressed against mine. I set the sketch pad down with the drawing facing down as my hands moved to Cheryl's cheeks.

Have you ever had that realization of something you never knew was so good until you felt it. Like a coffee after an unpreductive night of no sleep. The feeling of a bed after a tiresome day of work. The gentle breeze in the morning once you step outside. Kissing Cheryl Blossom,

Probably one of the best feelings in the world.

When she pulled away I was still in a daze that I didn't realize she had taken the drawing off the bed. Pretty soon I was chasing her around my small bedroom, but her being taller than me was a great disadvantage. Pretty soon I had thrown her to the bed where she laid looking at the drawing. I climbed on top of her as she looked at the drawing in shock. "You drew this!?" She said with excitement and confusion.

I groaned and grabbed the sketch pad, throwing myself to the side of her on the bed. "Yes, it was supposed to be a birthday gift." I said with an annoyed tone. It was a perfectly drawn portrait of Cheryl. I knew I could draw but I worked extra hard on this, it was perfect.

She was perfect.

"Oh...I'm sorry I ruined it." She said laying on her side to face me. I closed the sketch pad and placed in beside me before I did the same facing her. "It's okay, I guess your birthday just came early." I smiled as she blushed. I took her head in my hands and kissed her forehead. "I love you." I say and her smile grows, if it was even possible.

"I love you too." She says back and places a quick kiss on my cheek before getting up. "It's getting late, I better head home. Mind driving me back?" She asks and I nod, grabbing my serpent jacket.

The Next Day

It was lunch time as I wandered through the halls to the lounge. I was met with the gang and Cheryl sitting and chatting amongst themselves. I sat down next to Cheryl and kissed her cheek, "What are we talking about?"

"I'm throwing a party tonight at the Pembrooke. My parents are out of town for the weekend so I figured now as good a time as any." Veronica says. "Are you two in?" She asks, referring to me and Cheryl. I look at Cheryl who shrugs her shoulders and nods. I turn back to Veronica and smile,

"We're in."

Later That Day, At The Party

I stopped my bike and got off, helping Cheryl as we walked into the Pembrooke. Cheryl immediately made her way over to the drinks, not before kissing my cheek. I roll my eyes and walk over to Betty and talk to her for a while. "You know, she's a lot better now thanks to you." Betty speaks, catching me off guard by the sudden outburst.

"What do you mean?" I ask never taking my eyes off Cheryl as she dances. "Well let's just say she's been through...a lot. It's not my place to speak about those things. If you want to know you probably have to ask her." I turn to her, giving a smile and a nod. Then I get up and head over to Cheryl and start dancing with her. I could tell she was very drunk by her slurring and outlandish attitude.

After about fifteen minutes and grab her shoulder and yell over the music, "I'm going to the bathroom okay?" She nods and shouts back, "Don't be too long!"

I head into the bathroom, doing my business and heading back out. I turn the corner and my heart stops.

Cheryl's kissing Reggie, and enjoying it.

I feel tears threatening to fall but I hold them back and angrily stomp towards them. I shower Reggie off her who is now wiping her lipstick, "What the hell Cheryl!"

Her eyes widen and she's about to speak but I scoff and walk off before she cyan say anything. I run out of the door and out to my motorcycle. At this point tears flow down my face rapidly as I grip my helmet tightly.

"Toni please!"I hear Cheryl shout as I rev the engine. I put my head up and breathe, "What." I say with intensity my eyes meeting hers. "Please, I-I didn't mean t-"

"Then why were you enjoying it?" I ask, and for once she's at a loss for words. I scoff at her and gently press my tongue to my teeth in anger.

"You know what? We're done, goodbye Cheryl." I say as I put on my helmet and start my bike. I hear her shouting my name as I speed into the darkness,

Alone.
