*Toni's Perspective*

I quickly turned off the engine to my bike and was about to slam open the door with my leg but then I remembered, this could be my chance. I quickly pulled out my phone, starting a video. Then slamming the door with my leg and what I saw both shocked and infuriated me. Just at the foot of the stairs, I see Cheryl, unconscious and surrounded by glass. I look up to see Penelope holding a vase by the neck, the bottom completely gone. I decided I had what I needed and stopped the video, placing it in my back pocket of my ripped black jeans.

Them, I stormed up to her and didn't something I longed to for a very, very long time. I swung my fist straight into her right cheek, making her fall to the ground. "What kind of devilish child are you?!" She shouted, holding her cheek with her right hand. "Me?! What the hell are you doing abusing your daughter like this!" I shouted, making my way to her as she fearfully scooted back to the couch.

"You can't tell me how I can treat my daughter. She is deviant and needs to be helped!" She yelled, but I could hear the fear in her voice. I knelt down next to her, and smirked. "From now on, you won't be treating your daughter anymore. You have two choices, stay here, facing your consequences by getting arrested for child abuse. Or two, run. However, you won't get very far when I call the serpents about this." I say, holding my phone up to my face.

Then she attempted to slap me, but I caught her wrist. "Guessing you've made your choice then." I say, pulling her up and grabbing a rope off of one of the curtains. Then tying it around her hands, tightly. I then took another curtain rope and pushed her down, tying her legs so she couldn't run while I called Keller.

Once I ended the call, Keller saying he was on his way, I rushed to Cheryl, moving glass out of the way very carefully. I picked her up and laid her head on my lap, surprisingly, she wasn't hurt in any way from the vase. "Hey Cheryl, I'm here now, you'll be okay." I whisper, feeling her nuzzle closer into me. "Toni?" I heard her murmur and I sighed in relief. "Yeah, it's me. I'm right here, I called Keller. Your mom won't bother you anymore." I chuckle lightly, stroking her hair. I could practically feel her smile.

Pretty soon Keller showed up and got a testimony from Cheryl, as well as the video from my phone as evidence. They arrested Penelope under child abuse. Me and Cheryl watched as they drove away and headed back into the house. As soon as I closed the door  and opened my mouth to speak turning around, I was met with Cheryl's lips on mine.

As we pulled away I smiled, then I heard three words that made me freeze.

"I love you."

I was frozen, of course I loved her too, but do I just say it back? I looked up at her and her eyes widened, "Oh my god I shouldn't have sai-"

"Shut up."  Was all I said before kissing her again. When we pulled away I looked down. "I love you too." A blush arising on my face. When I looked up at her all I saw was love, and I knew I'd protect her. I'd do anything to see that same look, that smile, and the sparkle in her eyes. I picked her up by the waist, followed by her squealing and laughing. I did circles and set her back down, landing one more kiss on her forehead.

"Do you wanna stay over tonight?" She asked, wrapping her arms around my neck. I smiled, "You know full and well I'll say yes." I say playfully punching her. "I do need to go home real quick to grab some things, I'll be back soon." I didn't want to leave but I needed some essentials. But when she gave me her pout I felt guilty. "I know I don't want to go either but I'll be back as soon as I can okay?" I say kissing her cheek as she nods. I head out the door and down the small stairs to my bike.

*Cheryl's Perspective*

As soon as she closed the door I started jumping and running around the house like a crazy person. Toni Topaz loves me...

I decided in the mean time to get dinner ready and pick out a few movies. I decided on something random that was on TV while I started to make pasta. As I was making dinner I didn't hear the door open behind me and close. Once I finished I drained the pasta and decided to wait for Toni on the couch watching the movie. Then I heard a guitar playing...

*Toni's Perspective*

I had snuck in the house and upstairs, I didn't want to bother Cheryl while she was cooking. I had brought my guitar over as well as some clothes, etc. I pulled the guitar out of the case and started to tune it. Then I started to play 'Human'.

I wasn't sure why but I loved the song and deep down through my barriers it struck me, hard. As I sang all I though about was my mother and how she died. I was holding her hand in the ER room, then we heard the monitor go offline, and she was gone. I was shaking her so bad, trying to get her to wake up. Little 5 year old Toni Topaz, all she wanted was her mom to hold her and tell her that everything would be okay.

Pretty soon in the middle of the song I broke down, sobbing. Then I heard the door freak open slightly.

"Toni?" I familiar voice called out. I looked up to see Cheryl looking at me worried, my eyes widened. I tried to wipe away my tears frantically, "Oh hey Cheryl, sorry you had to see that." I say, trying to laugh. As I was wiping my tears she had made her way over to me squaring in front of me. "What's wrong?" She asks, looking into my eyes. All I do is pull her into a hug before I break down crying.

"Don't leave me. please."
