Lena and Kara left Rheas home, they had gotten the majority of the information that they needed, which to Lena's frustration meant that Kara was right, for the second time now during this investigation. Apparently Mike hing around with all of the wrong people according to Rhea. which wasn't that surprising really, they already knew that he was most likely apart of a gang, or something to do with criminal activity. To the best of Rhea's knowledge Mike spent most of his nights down at the docks, which would be an easy place for a criminal gang to set up base.

So of course thats where they were headed now in the car, Lena still hadn't gotten a clear answer for James as to why he cancelled their plans that had been in the works for at least two months now, she hated just being pushed to the side like that. Kara looked cautiously at the speedometer as she noticed the car was getting faster and faster as the drove down the highway, and Lena had no intention of slowing down, Kara gripped the side of her seat, glancing back at Lena again, hoping that brunette would notice what she was doing and drive at an appropriate speed for the road, but this was Lena she was talking about, their was nothing appropriate about her.

They pulled into the car park at the docks, Kara breathed a sigh of relief as she patted down her body to make sure she really was still alive, because it was a miracle, to say the least. Lena rolled her eyes, as she staggered out of the car, stretching as she slammed the door shut, Kara following close behind her as the two women walked towards the small wooden hut, where the boatmen would rest during their shifts. Lena took out her hand gun, turning her torch on as she held the two in front of her protectively as they drew closer to the building, Kara did the same. After all if this was where Mikes murderers were hiding it was better to be safe than sorry.

Lena kicked down the door with one swift movement and Kara had to subdue the urge to say 'Damn girl.'  So instead she just bit her bottom lip, she couldn't help her eyes dropping down slightly, her mind not completely focused on the mission. Lena motioned for Kara to follow her through, so the blonde did as she was told, just thankful to have more of the view in front of her. They scanned the room with their torches, not once lowering the hand guns in case of a sudden attack, it was best to approach this with the upmost caution. Kara went to pull the wire that would most likely turn on the main light. Lena almost pulled the trigger then and there as she pulled Kara away just in time, glaring and shaking her head. No words need to be said for Kara to understand what Lena had meant.

Lena heard a soft groaning sound coming from one of the smaller, back rooms of the already small hut, she furrowed her eyebrows as she turned to Kara motioning for the blonde to follow close behind her which again Kara did, gladly. The noises got more audible as the approached the closed wooden door, there was a lot of heavy breathing. Lena counted down on her fingers, one, two three... Lena burst open the door storming into the room, her gun held firmly in front of her face. Kara close behind her, waving her flashlight around the room looking for the source of the noises.

"Police! Put your hands in the air!" Lena shouted not quite making out the faces in the dark, Kara felt this was the appropriate time to turn on an actual light, as she flicked the switch up turning on the main light of the small back room, which flickered slightly before lighting up the room completely. Lena's face contorted into confusion, and Kara almost squealed in fright before quickly holding her gun in front of her eyes to block her vision. "James?" Lena questioned lowering her gun in her hand. Lena moved her eyes over James' naked body, her eyes turning slowly to a naked women cowering on the floor, trying as best she could to cover herself from view. Lena turned her eyes back towards James. Emotionless.

"Lena It's not what it looks like." James said, Lena chuckled nodding slightly.

"So this is the reason why you cancelled our dinner plans?" Lena concluded, her voice raspy, Kara finally uncovered her eyes to look at the brunette, sure she would burst out into tears in a matter of seconds, or thats what it sounded like. "You were out fucking this whore? In an STD ridden shagging shed, how romantic." Lena deadpanned, her voice turning back to being completely monotone. The voice you would expect to come out of a convicted psychopath not a beautiful, smart, detective.

"Lena, baby-"

"Don't bother coming back home tonight, your things will be in the mail, Goodwill, or propping up the best bonfire this city has ever seen, I haven't quite decided yet." Lena said before walking away from James who called her name a couple of more times. Kara glared at James before following Lena out of the hut.

The two women walked across the car park in complete silence which seemed to be normal for them now.

"Lena-" Kara began,

"Don't ask me that question right now." Lena choked out before opening the door to the drivers seat.

"Let me drive?" Kara said kindly, looking into hurt emerald eyes, Lena looked relieved as she nodded, walking around to the passenger side, before slowly lowering herself into the car, beside Kara who stated the engine carefully. "Do you want me to take you home?" Kara asked as she drove away highly doubting that Lena would be eager to go back to the precinct. Lena nodded again, as the two drove up the highway in silence. But something was different now. This was comfortable silence.
