Kara was all tucked up in bed, the remote in her hand as she began to flick through the TV Channels, praying she could find something decent to watch for her to drop off into a deep sleep, hopefully thats something Lena did to. Otherwise tonight could be an issue, or an even bigger issue anyway. She looked towards the bathroom to where Lena had been for almost two hours now. Which meant Lena was extremely into her personal hygiene or she just really wanted some time away from the blondes constant chatter. Kara hoped that they could put their argument behind them, and maybe even start a real friendship where Lena knew Kara's name and didn't just refer to her as her hair colour.

Lena finally stopped pacing up and down the length of the bathroom as she hung up on Cat, almost slamming her phone into the wall, before thankfully managing to stop herself. She couldn't believe Cat would do this to her, she knew what had happened between her and James, who was now her Ex-Boyfriend, Lena had learned over the years that she was just going to be used, and she would never let anyone do that to her. Not ever again.

Lena walked out of the bathroom, only wearing a tank top and shorts, the type a body builder would wear to the dream, to leave nothing to the imagination of strangers. Kara looked away from the TV as her eyes were drawn to the brunette almost instinctively. She wandered her body, taking in all of Lena's perfections. Wow. Lena rolled her eyes, of course Kara had a crush on her, of course Cat had to be right about the entire thing. She always was, that's why her name was Cat Grant. Lena got into bed leaving a huge space between her and Kara, she didn't want to risk any funny business from happening.

"Night." Lena said gruffly, as she let out a heavy sigh, almost dangling over the side of the bed, Kara smiled as her eyes scanned the back of Lena's body, which was almost as perfect as the front.

"Goodnight." Kara said cheerily as she turned over, the sound of the TV still ringing in her and Lena's ears.

The alarm sounded, as Lena groaned in annoyance at being woken up far to early for this stupid conference which she could already tell was going to be a waste of police time, and most likely a complete work of fiction written by Cat Grant. Kara reached over and turned off the alarm before noticing an extra pair of arms wrapped around her chest. The blonde didn't know how to react to this, Lena grumbled again as she finally opened her eyes, her heart skipped a beat with anxiety as she noticed the position the two women were lying in. Lena jumped away to the other side of the bed, before sitting up.

"We need to get ready we're running late for this conference." Lena said nervously before darting into the bathroom. Kara sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes. Maybe Lena did like her after all and she just didn't know it yet.

An hour later Lena emerged from the bathroom, wearing her power house pantsuit that had become a staple in her now single white female life. Kara turned around and smiled, she to clad in a pantsuit but somehow Lena always managed to look more fierce than her, it was probably the look that screamed I'll kill you if you talk to me in her eyes.

"Let's go." Lena said simply as she walked out the hotel room, putting the room key carefully in her back pocket, as much as she hated sharing a room with the blonde, never mind a bed she would rather that than the streets. The two women walked side by side down the hallway for once in silence, which Lena was glad of. Kara was just to taken aback from how hot Lena looked to talk, and maybe it was down to her still feeling a slight tingle where Lena's arms had been wrapped around her only an hour before.

Suddenly the detectives heard a scream coming from down the hallway, the heart stopping scream resonated around the hallway, bouncing off of the narrow walls. Lena didn't have a second thought as she ran towards the scream pulling out her gun as she did so, Kara followed close behind her, however choosing to leave her gun in her holster. Lena burst into the room where the screaming was coming from and saw a maid standing back in terror, blood pooling at her feet. Lena walked closer to the crime scene and saw a man lying face down covered in blood.

"Miss I'm going to have to ask you to stay for questioning." Lena turned to the maid, showing her badge. The maid nodded, tears of shock running down her cheeks. Lena turned to Kara who was already on the phone to the nearest precinct, requesting a forensic team, as well as the homicide department. Lena moved the maid away from the body and out of the hotel room, Kara followed close behind them.

"Forensics and homicide are on there way from the closest New York precinct Kara said with a sad smile, Lena nodded a small thank you to Kara. Turns out this trip was going to be a lot more interesting than some boring police conference.
