CHAPTER 09
THE BOY sat there painting away on the canvas in front of him while the girl sat across him, reading a book.
the girl couldn't help but to glance at the boy who was painting in front of her, he was truly gorgeous and talented.
the girl couldn't help but to feel a little envy to the boy, all she could do was play the piano and draw but it wasn't like what the boy was.
the boy could paint even without his eyesight, he could play any instruments and he could sing.
yes, the girl had heard the boy sing a few times and the boy's voice was truly a gift from god.
the soft knock broke the girl's sight away from the boy and to the door, charles walked in with a smile.
"hello, it's time for lunch." the girl nodded before walking over to help the boy out.
"thanks." the boy flashed a smile at the girl as she grabbed onto his arm, lacing their fingers together.
the girl's heart started to pound hardly in her rib cage as their fingers laced together.
the warmth from the boy's hand lingered on the girl's palms as they let go of each other's hand, taking their seats beside each other.
"how are you, soeun?" the girl smiled as mrs.jeon walked into the dining room with a gorgeous navy blue dress.
"I'm good." the girl chewed on her food slowly, helping the boy by placing some food on his plate for him.
"oh no nuts, soeun. jeongguk is allergic to them." the girl stared at the nut in the spoon as she took it back and place it on her own plate.
"sorry." she looked down, avoiding eye contact. the girl heard a light chuckle from the woman sitting in front of her.
"it's okay." amusement swim around in mrs.jeon's eyes as she stared at the girl, smiling.
"jeongguk, your father is coming back tonight." the girl took a small glance at the boy beside her.
he had been really quiet ever since they sat down around the dining room and the girl didn't knew why.
"I am aware of that." the boy answered, he was avoiding eye contact with his own mother even if he knew where she sat.
"look at my direction when I talk to you, young man." the boy looked annoyed, the girl on the other hand was confused.
"I'm not hungry anymore." the boy stopd up, walking out from the dining room with Charles trailing behind him.
"is he alright?" the girl couldn't help but to feel worried but also she was confused.
"yes." the girl nodded before she stood up, walking to the direction where the boy went.
knowing the boy, he probably had gotten back into his room or at the garden like he always does ever since his parents allowed him to go outside.
the girl knocked on the door softly before she walked into the room, the boy was back sitting in front of his now half black canvas.
the girl stared at the painting, feeling the emotions through the painting. the painting made the girl felt sad and she didn't knew why.
