CHAPTER 24

THE SMELL of bacon filled into the boy's nostrils when he woke up this morning, jeongguk was confused.

he didn't hire a personal chef nor a maid, who on earth was cooking in his kitchen.

the boy slip on a pair of boxer and a shirt before walking out his bedroom, he walked down the hallways and into the kitchen.

two screams was heard, a female and a male. "oh man holy shit" the boy cursed out loud, while gripping onto the counter top.

"don't scare me like that jeongguk!" the boy scoffed. "your scream scared me." jeongguk took a seat around the dining table.

"I wouldn't scream if you didn't scared me, jeongguk." she glared at the boy in front of her, placing a plate of food down.

"what are you doing here anyways?" jeongguk rolled his eyes, before stabbing a bacon.

"well I'm here to tell you, you have a meeting with Mrs.Park at 12pm." jeongguk nodded at his assistant.

jeongguk watches as she walk out the kitchen and a slam was heard after a few seconds she walked out, signalling she had left.

AFTER having his breakfast, the boy changed into his suit and left his penthouse; heading to the company.

jeongguk ignored every female that were gawking over him as he walked over to the elevator with a cold expression.

he didn't try to hide the fact that he was annoyed at the females pulling their skirt higher and batting their lashes at him as he walked back them.

the boy rolled his eyes and stepped into his personal elevator, he didn't like using the public elevator in his company.

the reasons are it was too crowded and he didn't want to suffocate from the amount of women's perfume in there.

the clock hits 12pm, just in time jeongguk unlocked his office door and sat down on his leather seat.

he listens as the sound of heels clicking against the marble flooring and waited for the sound of a knock on his door.

the boy turned around, facing his desk as he invited the person into his office. the lady was shock, leaving the boy confused.

"well, isn't it nice to see you jeongguk." her voice was familiar, jeongguk narrowed his eyes at the woman.

"oh I'm sorry, let me introduce myself. I'm your ex-girlfriend, soeun's mother." the woman grinned.

jeongguk felt his fist tighten, how could he forget this witch. "I wish I could say it's nice to see you but I'll be lying."

"ahh, I've seen you regained your eyesight. I wonder how soeun would feel about this." jeongguk heart was pounding hard in his chest.

hearing her name made his heart pumped really fast, besides that jeongguk was slowly losing his patience.

"what—" jeongguk was cut off by a phone ringing, a evil smirk appeared on the witch's lips as she took her phone out.

jeongguk observers as the woman answered her phone, putting it on speaker.

"hello?" her voice made jeongguk's heart stopped, the woman smirked at the boy's reaction, noticing that he had stopped breathing.

"what do you want, soeun" jeongguk glared at the woman, he had the urge to protect the woman he loves; or he once loved.

"i just wanted to know if you gotten dad's medication yet." jeongguk heard a deep sigh coming from her.

"I've got it, stop calling me." and with that, the woman ended the call and smirked at the boy.

"I wish I could tell you, she misses you but I would be lying." jeongguk's heart crumbled into millions of pieces.

"leave." the woman smirked and stood up from the couch, with her arms crossed in front of her chest.

"leave before I call security!" jeongguk raises his voice, he had lost his patience again; just like that day before soeun left.
