CHAPTER 30

THE GIRL was shock when she saw who was downstairs waiting for her, her lips immediately mumbled his name.

"jeongguk." the girl's heart was calling out to his, like how his was calling out for hers.

"soeun." the girl felt pure happiness exploded inside of her, he remembers and knows it's her.

the girl gasped as she was embrace into a warm hug by her past lover, she felt the safeness and warmth once again in his arms.

"I'm so sorry." the girl didn't know how to react, just a few hours ago he was being a huge asshole but now he was apologising and hugging the life out of her.

the girl saw from the corner of her eye, that her family has returned and tried to push the boy away from her.

jeongguk held the girl even tighter and buried his face into her hair, taking in her floral scent shampoo smell that he had loved.

the girl saw her family's reaction and her step sister wasn't having it, "what is going on?" her high pitched voice screamed.

the boy let out a deep sigh, he absolutely despise soeun's step sister and thinks she's really annoying.

jeongguk let go of the girl and turned around, gasps were heard from the girl's family again.

"jeongguk!" eunsoo's facial expression changed and a smile was formed on her face as she walked towards the boy.

the boy kept his emotionless expression on his face and rolled his eyes at the desperate girl who was now clinging to his arm.

"I've missed you." she exclaimed loudly, not forgetting to shoot her step sister a glare before smiling at the boy.

"I definitely didn't miss you." the boy pulled his arms away from the girl's grip and moved closer to soeun.

"I apologise for coming without informing, but I'm here for someone." the boy pulled soeun closer to him, causing her to stumble on her feet a little.

"and this time, she's leaving with me and no one is going to stop me from doing that."

"this is unacceptable!" jeongguk narrowed his eyes at soeun's step mother who glared at the two while eunsoo was beside her.

"I don't need your acceptance anyways." the boy let out a sarcastic chuckle and rolled his eyes at the mother and daughter.

soeun was hiding behind her brown locks as she listens to her step mother and past lover argue with each other.

"please stop." her voice was soft enough to make the boy look down at her, leaving her step mother confused why he had stopped.

"soeun." the boy cupped her cheeks. "baby, what's wrong." the girl sighed and push his palms away.

"this isn't right, jeongguk." the girl shook her head, jeongguk's soft expression immediately hardens and his hands curled into a fist.

"tell me why isn't it right? I love you, and I know do too." the girl looked down, tears were building up, her eyes were starting to sting.

"I can't leave with you." the girl's voice cracked again, the memories of the day she left came floating into their head.

"why? do you not feel the same anymore?" the girl flinch at the harshness of jeongguk's voice and shook her head.

"how can I not? did you think I loved you because I pitied you? gosh I loved you for you." jeongguk's eyes softened at her words.

"If I didn't love you, why would I have spend two months crying because I miss you?" the girl shouted as tears rolled down.

mrs.jung pulled the girl into an embrace and soeun sobbed into her shoulder, "I think you should leave, jeongguk." soeun's father spoke.

"I love you and I'm sorry, soeun." and with that said, the boy turned around and left while listening to the girl's loud sobs.
