"I don't want to wake her." "Stop staring at your girlfriend and wake her up before we're late to classes." "She's not my girlfriend." "If you talk any louder, you might wake Africa." I groaned and opened my eyes, glaring at the group of boys in the room. "Don't be mean, you need to be up anyway." Maxx spoke with authority in his voice. I got up, grabbing clothes from my closet and going into the bathroom. I am a little irked with how I was woken up, but I know I'll get over it. I'm just happy they're back. I got out of the bathroom, a yawn escaping my mouth. "Do want to drop by the café for some caffeine?" I looked up at Cody, who asked the question, and simply nodded. We left a few minutes before the other three, to beat the line.
"So I was told that you perform an original song every where during Christmas." His face turned scarlet. "Uh yeah, yeah I do. Why?" I shrugged, "Just curious on what you're working on. Last year you wrote a song called Tug Of War." He nodded, a slight frown on his face. "I won't push you on the subject, I'm just curious." He nodded stiffly. The walk to the café is an uncomfortable quiet, I felt like I overstepped a boundary and I don't know which boundary it was. Cody went to go sit down, leaving me to get coffee alone.
"E-Excuse me?" I looked up from my phone to see three boys, two out of the three dressed oddly. "How can I help you?" I questioned and smkled. "We're...uh...we're new. Can you help us?" The oldest looking smiled at me timidly. "Of course, I'm Amelia or Lia by the way." The guy who asked for help held out a hand and I shook it. "I'm Sebastian, that is Remington, and this is Emerson. Thank you so much." I nodded, dumping some sugar into my coffee. "Classes start in 10 minutes, I'm sure Dr. Way has already told you where your room is and what classes you're in." All three nodded. "Sophomores?" Sebastian hesitated, "Not technically, but we're taking all the same level classes, so yeah sophomores." I pursed my lips. "Alright, let me see your schedules and your lanyards." Three hands were thrusted toward me. I grabbed each item and had them follow me toward my usual table, all 4 boys now there.
"Guys this is Remington, Sebastian, and Emerson. All new." Everyone greeted everyone and I looked at their schedules. "You're all in the same classes as me and your room is in the purple hall. I'll show you where that is before we move onto Mr. Iero's room." More timid nods before we set off. I gave Maxx a look telling him we needed to talk and he gave a slight nod back. "So are one of those guys your boyfriend?" I blushed and laughed. "No, the one with the lip ring, Cody, is who I am currently pining after. Maxx is like a brother along with Zach and Dan. Where did you guys move from?" Remington answered, his voice startling me a bit, "Toronto, Canada." I gasped and grinned. "That's cool! You came during a great time, Christmas is so spectacular around here, or so I've heard. This is my first year as well."
I turned into the purple hall, hearing three pairs or footsteps follow me. "Your room is inbetween Cody's and a few more friends of mine, Dallon, Brendon, and Ryan." I handed Remington the key and he unlocked the door. The room now has 3 beds instead of two, one made into a bunk bed. It looks like the rest of our rooms though. "So through that door is your closet and that one is your bathroom." A bell rang and I swore quietly. "Is that the class bell?" Emerson asked and I nodded, having them quickly follow me to Mr. Iero's room. "Amelia! You're late." Mr. Iero reprimanded. "I was showing our new students around." He made an 'O' with his mouth. "Ah! The Kropp siblings! Welcome and have a seat." I hurried to my seat next to Cody, smiling at him, only earning a small one in return. "You can all three sit next to Cody and Amelia. Amelia I trust that you'll be their guide and helper when they need it." I nodded. "Yes sir." He smiled appreciatively at me and continued on with the disrupted lesson. "The Civil War everyone!"
