Zayn's Point of View

He answers on the first ring, as if he were expecting a call. Hmm..

"Well, well, well if it isn't the infamous Alpha Malik. I heard you were the cause of some problems with Capers."

Rolling my eyes. "Alexander stop being a jackass. We need help. There's going to be a war soon, and Joshua is working with rogues. We need your help."

"First, my name is Zander. Second, don't start shit with Joshua if you don't want me to be a jackass. Third, you didn't even have to ask. I've wanted to knock Joshua off his goddamn throne since we were in diapers."

That was true. I used to be friends with Joshua, however, Zander and my other Alpha friend Cleopatra have always had bad blood with Joshua and his sister.

"When do you think you can get here?"

"Actually, I was planning to leave tonight. Joshua called me earlier to-"

And there it goes. Pinching my noes I sigh soft into my hand.

"Joshua called you and you didn't call us immediately?" Niall beat me to questioning Zander.

"Why would I do that when I knew you guys would call soon?" I hate him so much.

'Same .' Javadd barks clearly annoyed.

"Zander you're an idiot." Liam rolled his eyes toward the phone on my desk.

"Of course I'm the idiot even though you just learned how to play Candy Land last month. Mr. Payno I do believe it is you who is the idiot."

"Shut up, Kardashian boy." Liam retorted.

"That was a very traumatic time for me."

"Sure it was." Liam replied.

"We're trying to plan a war remember." I tried to get them to focus.

"Oh yah! Katherine, Jax, and I are getting in the car now. We'll be there in thirty minutes." Katherine is Zander's mate and fiancée. Wolves typically don't marry their mates. Most of us thought of marriage as a human thing, but the newer generations of wolves began get more humans as mates, and they wanted to follow the human tradition of marriage.

And Katherine is human.

He met her on a business trip to Greece. Zander, our good friend Preston Scott who is the Alpha of the Lunar Eclipse pack of Pennsylvania, and I were signing a peace treaty with a few of the Grecian Alphas.

Katherine lived in a village near one of the packs. The pack protected the village from the neighboring pack whose Alpha went crazy because his mate was killed by a human hunter. So she was already well aware of werewolves.

Zander and Katherine did fall in love immediately, but Katherine wasn't too keen on leaving home with a stranger. She put up a hell of a fight. Zander had to sedate her. "So she wouldn't hurt herself," He said, although Preston and I know he just didn't want to deal with her screaming. Still today almost two later Katherine is still as sassy and stubborn as she was before.

Knowing how Zander and Katherine argue, thirty minutes meant at lease a couple of hours. So decide to call Cleopatra back, as everyone leaves my office, and tell her she could wait sometime before leaving.

"Katherine and Zander?" She guessed immediately. Those two really pissed everyone off.

"As always."
