"get it, bucknasty"

my favorites :)

The first time you had seen Bucky and Natasha flirt with each other was over a month ago. You'd gotten up during the night to get a bottle of water when you stopped at the top of the staircase. There were voices on the lower floor; the main floor that consisted of the living and common space. Not wanting to be rude, you'd peeked your head around the corner and caught a glimpse of Natasha leaning over the bar countertop to talk lowly to a tired looking Bucky. At first you were extremely confused as Bucky usually was the silent one of the group at all hours of every day. He was practically emotionless but you swore you could see his lips attempting to curl into a small smile as she whispered things to him. You could see the plain smirk on her face and knew she was trying flirt. It was obvious. That night you had forgotten about your water, leaving the two to talk alone and uninterrupted.

The thought still made you roll your eyes at how much time had passed and they had still failed to make progress from what you had recently seen. It was clear chemistry was there between them. Even you could see it.

Of course that first night wasn't the first time you'd seen them together like that. There was that morning when you found them having a coffee together in a small coffee shop. You'd walked by and waved awkwardly and received an equally awkward wave back from both of them. There was also the time when you and Sam had caught them holding hands while the avengers were on a weekend trip to New Orleans. You had looked back to read a sign when you caught glimpse of Nat leaning into him and her small hand entwined in his metal one. You'd nudged Sam with your elbow, giving a small signal to look behind him. He was confused at first, then caught on when he saw them.

"Oh wow, okay then," he smirked at the two and pointed a finger between them. "Now that's what I'm talking about. Get it, Bucknasty!"

There were a few other instances where you'd caught them together, and you were almost convinced you were the one who caught them the most.

"Hey Sam," you greeted him with a smile as you jumped over the back of the expensive looking couch to sit next to him. He was watching the commercials as they played on the tv in front of him.

"(Y/N)! Hey there!" He smiled back and turned off the tv to talk to you.  "I feel like we haven't talked in forever."

"We had breakfast like an hour ago," you laughed. "But that's not the point. I need your help with something important."

He cocked an eyebrow.

"Help me set up Bucky and Nat on a date."

Sam's face lit up and he immediately started laughing loudly, causing you to lean over and place your palm over his mouth.
