It had been a year since you received your new suit. The shiny silver metal that made up your suit was beautiful and fit your body perfectly. The design closely resembled Tony's with a smaller, feminine build. You were in love with the suit, but not a fan of the copious restrictions that were installed from the day you received it. You had called Peter multiple times to try and help you with hacking into the suit, but after numerous failures you and Peter had both given up. When you decided that hacking into it was impossible, you planned just to bug your fathers until they lifted the restrictions. If it was only that easy. Both Tony and Steve were almost skilled in seeing through bullshit; especially your bullshit.

"Hey papa," you smiled sweetly at Steve and stood next to him on the long couch. Your hands were clasped together innocently in front of you. It was a habit of yours to do this when you wanted to sway someone to do something. Luckily Steve didn't catch on.

Steve replied to your greeting by returning a smile that made you feel at home and lifted his arm to the back of the couch, inviting you to sit right next to him. You gladly complied and made your way to snuggle into his warm side. He smelled like soap and it made you want to sit there forever and watch the tv with him.

"As much as I'd love to watch this documentary on planet earth with you, I'm almost positive that's not what you came down here for."

You playfully rolled your eyes, lifting your head to better look at your papa. He raised his eyebrows knowing that you were up to something and you sighed in defeat. The game was up. You smiled in defeat.

"I was just wondering-" you began, your eyes wandering around the room as you spoke, "-if you would consider maybe lifting my restrictions?"

The last part came out rushed and you smiled wide once again to distract your papa from the question being asked. That also didn't work out in your favor as his face contorted as if he had heard the question thousands of times and was expecting it. Which wasn't completely wrong. You had asked the question to both parents before; many times...

Steve shook his head but you were quick to cut him off before he could even open his mouth to explain.

"Papa, please! I've been so good with the suit; I've been so careful! I could take it apart and put it back together in my sleep!"

Steve shook his head again and put a hand up to stop you from your rant.

You rudely ignored his hand and got up off the couch to pace the living room, "it's been a year, it's not fair. Do you not trust me?"

Your voice was loud and you were practically yelling at him in your frustration.

"Thats enough," he spoke with disappointment clear in his voice. It was rare for you to raise your voice at either of your parents. A small pang of guilt immediately pooled in the bottom of your stomach and you wanted to take everything back so you wouldn't have to see your papa's disappointed face.
