We had been drving for 2 hours and already my eyes where getting heavy. Rylee and Chase where asleep in the backseat and I envied them.  Beck was wide awake beside me looking out his window.

"Hey Beck, do you think we're ever going to be able to come back?" I asked him quietly.

He turned to look at me, "I honestly dont know. But we do need to get as far away as possible right now. They can't catch us; if they do things will end badly."

"Well that lightens the mood," I said sarcastically.

He laughed, "Is now really the time to be talking about this?"

"Tell me more about this whole mate thing," I asked him.

"Well basically when a male finds his mate he claims her. Marks her as his with his sent. And then they are together till the end of time. There is only one mate for one male; ever. So if the mate dies the male dies with her. Since neither can live without the other. They really know they're mates when they can communicate through each others minds; but only each others," He explained to me.

"So how will you tell if i'm your mate?" I asked him.

"I can already feel you are, but my wolf has to claim you on your birthday for you to be counted as my offical mate," Beck replied.

"My birthday is in 4 days. Why cant we tell now?"

"Because on your seventeenth birthday is when the moon pulls your wolf forward to be recognized. Only when you are in wolf form on that night can my wolf claim you. Mostly becuase your wolf will have similar colors or marking to mine," Beck said.

"Okay all this s very touching but can you guys keep it down?" Rylee asked from the backseat.

"Your the one who kept asking me questions about werewolves. This is your first lesson," I said smiling at her in the rearview mirror.

"Fine. Teach me," Rylee said sitting up.

"Werewolves are lead by a council known as the Elders. They're the ones who make our laws and rules," I explained to her.

"Werewolves have rules?" She asked me.

"Yes. We cannot and are not allowed to tell humans that we exist unless absolutely nessisary. We have to stay inside the wooded areas of our land in wolf form. But that rule is not strictly enforced because most packs have pack houses. We cannot turn a human into one of us unless they are litterally on the very edge of dying. But that is strictly last resort for us. It is against the law to turn anyone, child or adult into one of us at all. But because the elders have realized that this rule effects the human population, they changed their minds," Beck exlpained as simply as possible.

"I never knew werewolves had so many rules. I just figured you guys just did whatever the heck you wanted to," Rylee commented.

"There was a time which we did. That was before the Elders though," I said looking back at her.

Rylee was silent after that and we drove on. After another hour I saw something run through the trees beside us and I smiled.

"Derek hung back for us," I told Beck.

He looked over at him and smiled.

"Try and keep up!!" Beck shouted at Derek and we took off flying down the road.

"Who is that?" Rylee asked as she climbed over Chase to look at Derek.

"That's Derek. In his wolf form," Beck relpied.

"He's so big," Rylee said with wide eyes.

"Most wolves are. He's just a little bit bigger than the female wolves though. Mostly because he's male and dominant," Beck explained.

Derek looked at Rylee and Howled. I saw Rylee smile.

"You guys are so cool," She said to me.

Derek must have heard her cuz he gave her a doggish smile that made Rylee's smile even bigger.

I motioned Beck to come closer so I could wisper something to him.

"Do you think Rylee might be Derek's mate? He seems to act like it. Maybe Rylee had some ancestor that was a werewolf and her parents just didnt know about it?" I asked him.

"She could be. But no one will know for sure until her seventeenth birthday," He replied.

"Her birthday isnt far from mine. Her's is like 4 weeks after mine," I told him.

"Then we'll find out then. But until then dont say anything to her. She's still human as far as we'r concered and she's not supposed to know anything," He wispered and kissed me on the cheek before looking back at Derek.

I took a right on the road that was going to take us towrads the cabin. We where in the middle of no where and the road I was on is a secret road I used to go up there alot. After about another thirty minutes of driving I stopped and annouced we where here. It was more of a mansion than a cabin, but it works.

"The other cant be far off if Derek was with us," I said and pulled out my key to the door.

We walked in and I looked around. Still as big as I remembered. I heard several cars pull up and went back outside.  The other guys where looking at the cabin like it was the largest squueky toy in he world.

"Complete with game room, 5 bathrooms, full kitchen and cable," I said and showed all of them around.

I walked up a flight of stairs," To your right are some bedrooms, to your left is the large gameroom. Up stairs are some more bedrooms and the indoor hottub. Downstairs is the den, and kitchen. Enjoy,' I told them before they all took off in different derections.

"Um, there are things on your doors to write your names so you can tell which room is which," I yelled to them.

Alec came and hugged me, "You rock!"

I shrugged and smiled, "I try."

"What games do you have?" He asked me.

"MW3, Call of Duty, those kind of games," I replied.

"Think you can beat me?" He asked grinning from ear to ear.

"Your on!" I yelled befoe racing him to the gameroom.
