Run Like You Mean It (Berlin wolves series)

Chapter 3

 After hours of games and playing everyone decided to relax and watch a movie. So, we all piled into the den downstairs and sat down on the huge couch.

  "Alec go pick out a movie!" I yelled at him when he came in.

I jumped on the couch and propped my feet up on the coffee table in front of me. When Beck sat down he lifted me up and sat me on his lap. I looked at him and smiled.

  "Your being pretty bold," I said.

"Well we are supossed to be together froever," He said pulling me against his chest. Alec came back and propped my feet on his knees.

 "What movie did you pick out?" I asked him as everyone got settled.

    "Zombieland," He said with a huge grin on his face.

I laughed at him, "Your such a dork."

  Beck looked over at Derek and poked me to get his attention. He pointed to Rylee and Derek.

"I think there's something going on here,' He said smiling.

  Rylee was sitting beside Derek with is arm around her shoulders. Rylee caught me staring and she secretly gave me her really happy smile. I smiled back then focused on the movie. Brian came in and walked up behind me and Beck. He smacked Beck in the back of the head playfully.

 "Dont get to cozy. She's still my cousin and I still have to do the boyfriend inspection," He said laughing.

  Everyone else heard him too and they all started laughing.

"I think your a bit late for that one," Beck said with an evil grin on his face.

 He leaned over me to kiss me and man was it good. His lips crashed down on mine eagerly at first then soft and gentle. I could hear everyone whistleing and yelling at us. Beck pulled back and then placed a soft kiss on my nose.

 "Way to go Beck!" I heard Derek yell at him.

I picked up a pillow while he wasnt looking and threw it at him. It hit him directly in the face.

  "I'll let that kiss go because you just did what I've always wanted to do," Brian said sitting down in the recliner.

  Thats when Rylee's phone rang.

"Crap. Its my mom," She said looking at everyone.

Alec paused the movie and He reached over to turn the lights on.

 "Rylee answer it but put it on speaker phone," I said calmly.

Rylee nodded, "Hello."

  "Rylee, oh thank god. I've been worried sick about you! Where are you?" Her mom said sounding worried.

  "I'm with Lia, mom. Like I always am," Rylee replied.

"Well I need you to come home honey. I miss you," Her mom said.

  At any other time all the guys would have laughed but no one made a sound.

"Mom I cant. I have to go. I love you. Bye," Rylee said hurridly.

 She hung up and we all just sat there.

"I know everyone's thinking it, so I'm gonna say it. We're busted," Jacob said looking at Rylee's phone.

 ~~Rylee's mom's POV~~

"Shouldn't Rylee be home by now?" I asked him.

   "Claire, she's probably at Lia's house," Robert replied.

"I've already called Lia's parents and they hung up before I could really ask them anything. I think she's been kidnapped. I'm calling the police," I said dailing the number.

   "Maybe you should call Rylee first. Dont be too hasty," Robert said coming up and taking the phone.

 He dialed Rylee's number then gave it back to me. It rang three times before she picked up.

  "Hello," She said.

"Rylee, oh thank god. I've been worried sick about you. Where are you?" I asked my daughter.

  She hesitated, "I'm with Lia, mom. Like I always am."

"Well I need you to come home honey. I miss you," I told her seriously and full of concern.

  "I cant mom. I have to go. I love you, bye," Rylee said then she hung up.

I stared at the phone. Rylee had never disobeyed me before.

 "That's it I'm calling the police," I told Robert.

I was going to get my daughter back.

  "9-1-1, What's your emergency?" The woman asked me.

"I'd like to report a missing person. It's my daughter, Rylee. She went off with some friends and she hasnt come back. She's been missig all night and I calle her a few moment ago but she seemed rushed. I also called the parents of the other girl she was with and they where very hesitant about talking to me," I spoke into the phone calmly.

  "Okay ma'am, it's going to be alright. If you can give me her phone number we can trace it and send the K-9 unit out to search for her. Can you tell me anything else about her?"

  "Yes. She has blonde hair, and green eyes. I dont know her location, but you sould probably check the forests. Rylee and her friends like to go camping alot. Just please find her," I said into the phone starting to panick.

  "Dont worry ma'am. I'm sending a officer over there to ask you some more questions," The woman replied.

  "Thank you," I said before I hung up.

I  turned to Robert, "I have a feeling those stupid Werewolves have her. I also have a feeling that Lia Danvers is one too,"
