~~Lia's POV~~

" Okay, knowing Rylee's mom, she's probably going to call the police. And that's not a good thing. A human surrounded by a pack of wolves. That's going to be very easy for the police dogs to sniff out!" I yelled standing up.

"Well, what do we do?" Rylee asked me.

"Can we hide her somewhere?" Alec asked.

"Yeah, we can say we're all taking a family camping trip. Chase and Rylee can hide upstairs," Jacob offered.

"That could work. It's going to have to be someplace that the dogs can't sniff out, though. The police are going to find this place eventually, so if we can find a decent hiding spot they should be okay. But that doesnt mean that we're safe. If this story gets out on the news, we will have every Hunter in the state of Georgia looking for us. 'Hey, lost girl in the woods might lead you to a pack of wolves.' So, I say that after the police leave, we pack up everything and go. We can find some other place to stay. But if we stay here, we might as well be dead," I told them all.

"Why dont we leave now?" T.J. asked.

"Because if we leave before the police come, they'll be able to follow our sent. We'd be leading them straight to Rylee and Chase. If they come first and see everything's okay, then we're in the clear to leave, and they wont be suspisous," I replied.

"But for now I say we all get a good night's sleep. I'm saying this as your Alpha and a prental figure," Brian said motioning everyone to their rooms.

  ~~Mr.Scar's POV~~

This is just perfect. They've run off. But, sooner or later those human's parents will make a fuss and call the police. Then I can hunt them all down.

I was standing in front of the little human girl, Rylee's house listening to her parents. They decided to call the police, finally. Now all I had to do was wait until they sent out the K-9 unit and I could track them 10 times easier. I turned around to walk back to the van.

 "Well?" Cory asked.

"The parents have decided to call the police. We must wait until they bring the dogs. We can follow them on foot and they will lead us directly to the wolves," I replied to my partner.

"I dont understand how you had such patience to deal with the wolves for their highschool lives. It sems to me that most hunters around that many wolves would simply tear there heads off," Alice said smartly.

"If you would take the time to understand the seriousness of this situation, Scar, then maybe we wouldnt have to have waited this long. They escaped all because of you and your stupid patience. You act as though you are not a real Hunter. We where taught to kill, and not wait," Carena, Alice's sister, added her input.

"If you two think that we should just jump out of the bushes and interrogate the parents and find them ourselves, then you can go ahead. But I choose to wait and let someone else lead us to them. It's less work for us and it's less messy. You Alice should know all about how I feel. You had to play nice to Lia for years," I explained to them.

After that they where all silent. No one dared defy me when I was in this mood. I was tired of the wolves escaping  every single time. I was going to catch them this time.

 ~~Lia's POV~~

I was laying in my bed trying to go to sleep when my door opened. I rolled over and sat up.

"It's okay. It's just me," Rylee said leaving the door open behind her.

Beck and Chase walked in behind her and they all sat on my bed.

"What are we going to do, Lia? I can't stay away from my parents forever," Rylee asked me.

"Rylee, I want you to understand something. If you go back right now, with the police looking for you, you'll just be a target. They will ask you questions and they will not stop until you confess to them what happened. And if you dont, the Hunters will find you and they will torture you into telling them how to find us. They want to kill us, kill werewolves. And you and Chase are the only ones that can do that. That's why we brought you with us. For your protection." I said taking puting a hand on her shoulder.

"I know. Im really happy you told me about you guys. If you didnt then I dont know what would have happened," Rylee said.

"If I hadnt told you, you'd be safe and out of harms way," I said looking down.

Beck put his arm around me and I leaned into him, "Lia, you had no choice but to tell them. They had already seen us. If you didnt tell them, it would have just made it worse."

Rylee smiled and patted me on the head, "You're one hell of a best friend, you know that?"

Chase put his hand on my arm and smiled lightly, "She's right you know."

"Well, I'm gonna go to bed now. See you guys in the morning," Rylee said and stood up.

Chase followed her and they shut the door behind them. I lifted my head to look at Beck.

"What if everything goes wrong?" I asked him.

"Nothing is going to go wrong. Everything will be fine," Beck said wrapping his arms around me and holding me.

We stayed like that in each others arms until we both fell asleep....
