 ~Alec's POV~

I couldn't find Lia and Rylee anywhere. I figured they had stayed downstairs but they weren't there. And they weren't in the rooms. I had started to get worried.

"Guys have you seen Lia or Rylee?" I asked everyone.

No one had seen her but Derek stood up and walked over to me.

"You cant find them?" He asked me.

"Nope. I tried my mind link with her but she's blocking me out," I said.

"Push," Derek said,

I pushed on the wall she built in her mind and finally broke through.

      Lia, where are you?

  I'm with Rylee

Where? Tell me where. We cant find you anywhere, Lia. Please tell me.

I cant. Im so sorry Alec. Rylee and I are doing what is best for everyone. Please understand that Alec. I love you.

She shut off her mind link after that and no matter how hard I pushed she wouldn't let me in.

"Guys. Rylee and Lia are gone. They're giving themselves up," I said looking at everyone.

~Lia's POV~

I could still feel Alec trying to get into my mind. But I never let him in. If I did, he would convince me to not go through with it, but this is something I have to do.

"Okay Rylee remember the plan," I told her stopping about five minutes away from their camp.

"Yes. You give yourself up and they take me home," She said looking at me her eyes shining.

I swallowed hard, "Now I want you to listen to me. This will probably be the last time you ever see me. Alec will try to come looking for me and so will everyone else, but you have to tell them you have no idea where I am. Whether they kill me or not they cant find me if they want to stay safe.  If you and Derek are ever together again make sure he treats you right."

Rylee nodded at me; the tears coming down her face like a river. I gave her a hug and then pulled back.

"Alright. Let's go," I said walking beside her through the trees and into the camp.

"Ms.Lia and Ms.Rylee. Its such a pleasure to see you again. I presume you aren't here to just talk," Mr. Scar said walking up to us.

"No. We're here to give ourselves up," I answered him.

"Great. Cuff them and follow me," He told two of his buddies.

They half dragged us to a cave with bars over the entrance. Mr. Scar walked down farther and farther into the cave and it kept getting darker until he turned on a set of lights. Inside were several rows of cells.

"Your mother wanted you back within a week and she wanted you dead within a week. She never specified how I was to return you to her, and she never said when you had to be dead. Consider this me being merciful instead of killing you right away," Mr. Scar said the last part while looking at me.

After they put Rylee into a cell right next to mine she looked at me with panic in her eyes.

"I didn't know this was what my mom wanted! Why would she want to kill you, Lia?" She said a tear escaping her eye.

"Because your mom doesn't want you to become one of us, find your mate, and leave her. She thinks I kidnapped you and forced you into this so she wants me dead," I told her leaning up against the stone wall.

It was a it stuffy down here and the cool walls were helping me relax. I knew I was going to die. I thought it would have been sooner, but as long as I get to spend a little more time with Rylee I was fine. Right now both of us were quiet and we didn't say much. But what could we say at a time like this. Right now wasn't the time for good-byes, but it wasn't the time for sweet memories either. So we sat in a comfortable silence together. I don't know how long we sat there in the cave before we heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Rylee and I turned our heads to look and we narrowed our eyes at Chase.

"You little bastard. You're helping them!? We thought you were our friend!" I yelled at him as he walked by.

"Don't worry I'm not here for you," Was all he said as he went to the very last cell and opened the door.

I didn't recognize the person he dragged out until she locked eyes with me.

"Rose?" I asked.

"Lia! You have to get out of here. They're starting an army. An army to destroy all werewolves. They aren't taking your friend back!" That was all she got out before she disappeared down the cave hallway.

I looked at Rylee's shocked face as she said that she wasn't going home. They were going to kill her like the rest of us. I started to wonder where Jazz and my grandmother were when Rylee spoke. She was now leaned up against the wall like I was.

"Do you remember the time you broke your arm in second grade because some kid pushed you down?" She asked me and I smiled.

"And you and Beck chased him all over the playground before you tackled him to the ground and punched him. Then you both got detentions," I replied looking at her and she laughed with me.

It was silent for a very long time. I knew she was only bringing up the memories to keep our minds off of what was happening. The thing was, I wasn't afraid. I chose to die to save everyone I care about, but Rylee didn't. All she wanted was to go home, and by bringing her here and trusting what Scar said she can never do that. I was very tempted to open up my mind link with Alec and talk to him, but I knew that wouldn't help matters any. Another set of footsteps was coming down and this time I was to tired to see who it was. People seemed to be coming and going a lot down here lately.

"You in the shorts. You can shift right," Said a man holding a pistol in his hand.

"Yeah. What about it?" I snapped.

"Scar wants us to get you to do some errands for us," He said going into the next room to get the keys.

"What kind of errands?" I asked him.

"You kill the people he captures and brings down here. And if you don't...lets just say your friend loses a finger every time you don't. My name is Emmett by the way," He said unlocking my cell.

I still had chains on me so that kind of made it hard to do anything. I nodded my head then threw an apologetic glance at Rylee, and she only nodded in return. I followed Emmett out of the cave and into the dim sunlight. It was becoming dark fast.

"Where are we going?" I asked Emmett.

"On your first mission," He said walking into the cover of the trees.

I thought Scar was bringing them to me!
