Run Like You Mean It (Berlin wolves series)

Chapter 14

~~Lia's POV~~

  I yawned as I woke up and stretched out on the rock. I looked around and noticed it was still pretty dark but I could see the sun starting to peek out over the mountians. I blinked my eyes a couple of times and turned my head to see most everyone alseep. Anyone who wasnt asleep was busy packing up supplies and other things. I spotted Alec by the trees sleeping. He was facing towards me, so I had to assume he was watching me when he fell asleep.

  Except I'm not asleep. I'm resting. Alec said causing me to jump.

I looked back over at him. His eyes where open and he was looking right at me with a smirk on his lips.

  Well exucse me for not knowing the difference between sleeping and resting.  I thought back to him, standing up and walking over to my car.

  "You guys brought the cars up here?" I asked him running my hand over the hood of my Camero.

"Some of the guys brought them up last night," Alec replied.

  I only nodded. I felt tired. Really tired, and that was unusual for me. Maybe I was coming down wiht something.

   "Alright everyone lets go. We need to head north. We can come back for the vehicles later," Brian said before shifting.

  This time we weren't going to run....so we kept a kinda slow walking pace. Rylee could just walk beside us as we went along. It seemed kind of normal for us until something wizzed by us three times. Arrows....Hunters.

  Everyone run! Now! Brian shouted at us.

We took off fulls sprint deeper into the trees, our fur molding us with nature as we ran, making us invisible. The arrows kept wizzing past us as we ran.

   Why can't we shake them? I asked.

There are too many. They surrounded us. If they come you do not hold back for anyone! Brian yelled ramming into one of the hunters.

  So this was how we where gooing to get caught. Ambushed by Hunters and put in a science lab to be tested. Haha.......that is so not how this is going to happen.

    I saw a Hunter by the trees in front of me and I was getting ready to lung at him when I felt a sharp pain in my left leg. I fell to the ground and shifted back.

    Lia! Alec yelled.

Several wolves ran over to me and shifted back into human form. I looked at the arrow in my leg and was trying to pull it out when someone stopped me.

   "No Lia. We have to take you to the emergency room. That arrow has silver in it and on it. You cannot touch it; none of us can. We need to get out of here before they come back with more arrows," Brian said standing back up.

   Alec picked me up bridal style and we ran thorugh the trees and towards the nearest town.

"Is the silver supposed to make me weaker?" I asked drowsily.

    "No its not! Brian! She's getting weak," Alec yelled.

"Run faster! She's lost too much blood,' Brian yelled back.

   I could feel my heart slowing down and my vision was becoming blurry. My eyes started to flutter.

    "No Lia you have to stay awake. Come on," Alec said running even faster.

Eventually we broke through the trees and into the town.

  "Someone! Help! Can someone help us find the hospital?" Rylee yelled.

Several onlookers stopped but no one came to help. Rylee stopped a woman on the street.

  "Ma'am can you please help us! Please! We need to find a hospital for my friend. She was shot with an arrow in the leg, "Rylee told her.

  She took one look at me and ponted in the direction of the hospital and  gave Rylee directions. It wasnt that far but i could feel myself slipping.

   "Hold on Lia, " Was the last thing I heard Alec say before I blacked out.

~~Alec's POV~~

   "Guys she blacked out. We need to hurry!" I yelled.

 "We're here. Come on!" Rylee yelled running through the doors.

      "Someone help us! We need a doctor! Someone!" Rylee yelled.

 Several nurses came over and  where trying to calm her down.

    "Please. Help. My girlfirend's been shot in the leg with and arrow. She's lost too much blood," I told the nurse.

  She grabbed a gernie, "How long ago did this happen?"

 "About 30 minutes ago,' I replied laying Lia on the gernie.

   "Okay you all will have to wait in the lobby. I promise we will save her. I'm going to get a doctor," She said pushing Lia away down the hall.

   All we could do was wait now....and that is what caused me the most agony.
