Melanie and Anthony had now been in Australia for three days. They had already gone rather fast, and Melanie seemed to be more relaxed. Finally starting to enjoy herself with Anthony. She of course did miss Beth however, but she knew now that she was fine with Vic and Levi. Most likely as Anthony had said, having fun with them and Jonathan. Melanie glanced over at the time as she began to get ready. The past two days had been quite relaxed and Anthony and Melanie managed to visit a few different places. But tonight was one of the nights that Anthony had chosen that he wanted to be a surprise for Melanie. Mel was rather nervous. As she would almost count this as their first official date, with no interruptions. At least she hoped. Mel had been given twenty four hours notice, but she still wasn't sure what to wear, since he wouldn't tell her where they were going. .
It was two hours up till their date. Before Anthony told her she would have to be ready. She had been standing at her closet for the last hour, skimming through her outfits before finally deciding on one of the plain flannel dresses that she had brought along for the trip. A plaid green dress that went down to her knees and found her usual pearl necklace, along with earrings to match it. Anthony had gone out awhile ago. He was rather secretive about where he was going. But he had told Mel that he had needed to go run some errands. To pick a few things up for their date. Once Melanie finished putting on her dress, she wandered into the bathroom, starting to get her hair ready. Leaving it down and using a curling iron to curl it, letting her hair flow over her shoulders.
Just as Melanie had finished getting ready, she heard the door opening, knowing that would be Anthony making his way back into the room. Melanie took a deep breath glancing in the mirror one last time. She still wasn't quite sure about her outfit choice. With her luck she would be overdressed or underdressed. "I'm back!" He called as he stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. Melanie finally decided to step out of the bathroom, facing Anthony. Giving him a small nervous smile. "You're back." Anthony looked up at Melanie as she had stepped out of the bathroom, and stood in front of him. Giving a smile in return after he had studied her. "You are looking amazing." He said quietly suddenly feeling a little shy. He was fine being around her when it was the two of them and Beth, or when he was in a group setting with Vic and Levi. But whenever they managed to be alone, he grew nervous. He was never one that was good for picking up a conversation. Though he was getting better, Anthony always tended to ruin things by saying something wrong. Without meaning to, he always ended up saying something that tended to upset Melanie. But he was hoping that tonight would be different. Melanie smirked giving him a small curtsy. "Thank you. You look quite dashing yourself." She winked teasing slightly since she knew he still had to get ready.
Anthony laughed. "But I am not ready yet." He said using Melanie's line. Melanie gave him a small shrug. "That doesn't mean that you still can't look good." She stated. Anthony glanced at her with a small smirk. "I was gone a little longer than I intended to be." He said looking at the time. It was half an hour until they would have to be at the diner for reservations. The reservations were at six thirty. Luckily, he wouldn't take too long. "I couldn't decide on a few things." Melanie glanced at him still being rather curious as to where they were going. Suddenly noticing that he didn't have anything with him. She raised her eye. "Where are the items that you bought?" She asked. Anthony grinned. He knew what she was thinking. She was hoping that he would be bringing in the items with him to the room so she could try to guess where they were heading. "I had asked the guy at the desk to hold the items for me." He stated.
As Anthony had gone to get ready, Melanie made her way over to the window glancing out at the scenery. She loved standing watching the scene below. If she could, she would stand there watching all day. Melanie let her hands rest on the window sill as she watched some of the passers by walking on the street below. Turning her head slightly when she heard the bathroom door opening. Signaling that Anthony was finished getting ready. Melanie turned so she was facing him completely. Studying him. "You look dashing." She said. Anthony grinned at her. Giving a small bow to tease her back. "Thank you miss.."
