As the image of her walking towards Anthony down the aisle began to fade. And the surroundings suddenly became hazy. Melanie flung her eyes open. Feeling her heart pound rapidly. The first thing she noticed when opening her eyes, was the clock on her nightstand showing eight o clock. The shades were pulled down, blocking the sun from shining through. So she and Anthony could sleep longer. With Beth being a bit older now, sleeping in more often these days. The two took advantage. Sleeping in as late as possible themselves. Until Beth came running in, waking them up ready for breakfast. It became a routine the last few years. After Beth woke up. She usually came running in their room. Jumping onto their bed, letting them know she was awake. Then the three of them would head downstairs to the kitchen, and get breakfast. Melanie smiled at the memories. Her heart calming down somewhat.

Not all the memories from the dream were bad. A lot of them were good. Like the last image she remembered. Her and Anthony standing in front of the church. Their family and friends. Becoming husband and wife. However. For some reason. Something about the dream unnerved her. Though Melanie couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Melanie's thoughts were running wild. Thinking what there possibly was about the dream that seemed unsettling. She pulled away from her thoughts when she felt a hand rest gently on her shoulder. Melanie smiled. Anthony. So it wasn't a dream. This is real. Now Melanie knew what had bugged her. Waking from the dream confused her because she hadn't been completely alert yet of the surroundings. When she awoke, Melanie grew concerned it had all been a dream. That she would be waking up all alone, the day of Paul's accident. But she wasn't alone. She had Beth and Anthony. And always would.

Melanie turned so she faced Anthony. The smile still on her face once she saw him. "Is everything alright?" Anthony whispered. Melanie nodded. Letting her head rest against Anthony's chest, feeling him wrap his arms around her and pull her close towards him. "Perfect." She whispered back.

Anthony smiled as he glanced at her. Feeling her snuggle closer. "Something is on your mind." Melanie took a deep breath. She still didn't know how he did it. How he could read her so well. "What makes you think that?" She asked. A grin formed on her face though Anthony couldn't see it. "Just a hunch.."

Melanie pulled her head up so she could look him straight in the eyes. "I.. Just a dream is all." She blushed a little at some of the thoughts. Anthony raised his eye glancing at her curiously. Noticing her reaction. "Oh? A good dream I hope." "A very good dream." "Do I get to know what it's about?" "Us.. How we met.. Of our wedding." A few things in between. But Anthony didn't need to know those details. The smile grew wider on Melanie's face as she recalled some details.

Anthony chuckled at the mention of their first meet. "It most certainly will be an interesting story to tell Beth won't it?" Anthony asked amused. Melanie laughed. "It most certainly will.. Speaking of Beth.. How long do you think we have?"

A small smirk crossed Anthony's face. Another routine they seemed to pick up. If both of them were awake before Beth. They liked to guess how long it would take before she appeared in their room. "A few minutes give or take?" Anthony teased. Melanie sighed. She loved Beth. But there were days she also wished her and Anthony could lounge around awhile longer. Unfortunately it couldn't be possible. At least not right now. Beth needed their attention.

"She will be too excited for our trip. I'm surprised she isn't awake knocking on our door right now." Melanie laughed. "She's been excited, waiting for the trip since you told her about it." Anthony nodded. "You still can come with.." He started speaking but Melanie stopped him. "No no.. I think part of the idea she likes this trip is because it will be just you two. Beth likes those father daughter moments. Especially since work has been keeping you busy again. And doesn't get to see you as much. That is why the trip was thought of to begin with. So you both can have some time with each other. Beth sees me quite a bit of the day when you're working. So I am sure she will like it best if I'm not with on this one. Beth probably gets sick of me." Mel smirked. A hint of teasing could be heard in her voice.
