The distant sound of the alarm clock sounded.  Melanie slowly stirred awake.  When she opened her eyes, then reached over and turned off the alarm.  Smiling to herself remembering what day it was.  Melanie couldn't believe the day finally arrived.  Her and Anthony were getting married in a few short hours.  They'd finally become husband and wife.  It would mean the three of them.  Her, Anthony and Beth would become a family permanently.  Melanie knew they were already.  But this made it seem more legit..  More real..

Melanie slowly sat up in bed and saw the wedding dress where she left it the night before.  Hanging by her closet.  Seeing the dress, Melanie grew slightly nervous.  She was very ready to marry Anthony.  And couldn't be happier they'd be together for the rest of their lives.  After all.  She had overcome so many obstacles these last few years.  And deserved happiness again.  Melanie was there to stay.  She had no intentions on backing out on Anthony now.

However, with it being their wedding day.  She still couldn't help but feel nervous.  Get thinking.  She almost hated being too happy.  For whenever it seemed things were going her way.  It went all wrong.  Though those feelings weren't as strong like they were at the beginning when Mel first met Anthony.  The feeling of guilt and worry were still there.  Deep down in her mind.  Melanie just didn't tell Anthony.  If something ever happened to him.  She wasn't sure what she would do.  Melanie didn't think she could dig herself out of that darkness.  She also couldn't help but feel some of the guilt again as well.

Melanie couldn't help but wonder if Paul really would be happy she was finally moving on.  For if roles were reversed, and it was Paul.  Melanie made it perfectly clear she wouldn't like that.  Someone else being with her family.  Melanie let a sigh escape her lips at the thought.  Then shook her head to clear her mind of those memories.  That was why Mel was feeling guilty.  It was her and Anthony's day.  She was supposed to be happy.  Thinking of their future.  Not dwelling on what should've been with Paul.  Or what he would think.  Melanie shouldn't be allowing those thoughts to slip through her mind again.  Because they were only excuses, reasons not to marry Anthony.  Melanie thought she'd gotten over those feelings.  But for some reason they were still there..  And unfortunately had picked today all of days, for showing up..

Once Melanie got a grip of herself.  She slowly crawled out of bed.  But as she was about to go get ready, Melanie felt something strange happening.  For some reason, a dizzy spell came upon her.  Forcing Mel to grab the bedpost so she wouldn't hit the floor.  As the room began spinning, Melanie closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths.  Hoping it would help.  For a moment, she felt herself becoming super worried.  Something was wrong.  She heard of people getting the case of cold feet right before the wedding.  But this was definitely something different.  Melanie certainly wasn't getting cold feet.  She loved Anthony.  Melanie was one hundred percent ready to walk down the aisle and marry Anthony.  Be with him forever.

Melanie hoped when she closed her eyes, the dizzy spell would stop.  But it didn't.  The room still felt like it was spinning.  Becoming more concerned something was off, Melanie knew she needed to reach for the phone and call Victoria.  Whom Melanie was certain on her way already.  Victoria would be here soon to help her get ready.  But just as she thought of doing so, just as fast as the spell started, it stopped.  That was strange.  Melanie thought once the dizzying feeling ended.

What the?  Very confusing thoughts entered Melanie's mind when she opened her eyes. The scenery was no longer her bedroom.  It had changed.  Mel was now standing in the middle of a restaurant.  The same restaurant Paul took her to for their first date, and where he proposed.  The table Melanie was standing by, was the table Paul always reserved for them.  The area also setup exactly how it had been the night they got engaged.  Melanie took a deep breath.  Is this some sort of sick joke?  She thought.  Melanie didn't like being messed with.  Especially not today of all days  Yes that's what it is.  Tricks..  This is just a trick.  I let my mind get the better of me.  And it's playing mind games..  This is just some really wacky dream I'm having.  I'll wake up soon, and Victoria will be there in my room, helping me get ready for the ceremony...
