I don't know if this'll count as a confession but when Brett wanted fans to email videos of what OMB meant to them I wanted to so badly do a video but I get anxious and feel ashamed easily because of how my voice sounds on recordings so I wanna talk/confess on what OMB means to me here. I'm not Hispanic in any way, I'm Samoan but that doesn't stop my connections and how I feel about the show. So OMB means so much to me as I see myself in the characters. I see myself in Monse as I care about unity, I see myself in Cesar as I don't want to get involved in danger and do something detrimental that I won't be able to live with, Oscar because I'm an older sibling and can sometimes be protective of my younger brother, Jasmine because I like to clown around, Olivia because I don't wanna cause trouble between people, Jamal because I too have theories of my own (if you must know I believe Eddie Aikau didn't go missing but lived/lives because he ran away to step away from the limelight of surfing so like I believe he's like Big Z from Surf's Up) and respect my elders, and I see myself in Ruby because I live in a packed house with grandparents and people I love (it must just be a thing people with culture do) and I love to help as much as I can.
