I honestly love how Jamal isn't your stereotypical black character. He's not into sports, he's quirky and his personality isn't the first thing you think of when you think of a young black male. I'm so glad the writers showed that not every black kid is a "macho, tough guy" ya know? Jamal rocks and it sucks that he's so underrated.
