Ok so I think I'm going to do an analysis of our On My Block main 4 and their houses 'cause everyone knows that a fandom becomes official when their characters are sorted so here we go:

Cesar Diaz: I thought I'd start with him. Cesar is a Hufflepuff through and through. He is completely loyal to his friends and although he (kinda) cheats on Monse with Olivia, he is haunted by his actions for days. And when he gets together with Monse while still together with Olivia, in his mind its not cheating, because he was loyal to Monse, not Olivia. He also has an unbelievable amount of trust in his friends. In episode 9, he sits and waits while his friends search for something to save him. His life is entirely in their hands. If that's not trust then IDK what is. Also he doesn't shoot Latrelle. He knows that it is kill or be killed, but he can't bring himself to do it. He abides by his morals.

Monse Finnie: She's a total Gryffindor. She has more courage in her toe than any of the boys and they know it. Gryffindors are regarded as "brave, though sometimes to the point of recklessness." Whether beating up Cesar in episode 1 or going to babysit a stranger's house because it might possibly be her mom, she is unafraid to face the consequences of what may come, simply getting lost in the moment of action. In every episode, her courage shines through and she dives into any situation head first. As she says herself "I just have no filter cause I have no gene for giving a damn, so..." She's headstrong, a common character flaw of most Gryffindors, which is why she couldn't talk to Spooky. She wouldn't have let him get a word in. It's her way or no way.

Ruby Martinez: Our last two boys are harder, but I'm going to place Ruby in Ravenclaw. The most famous Ravenclaw traits are intelligence, wit, and wisdom, and Ruby could not represent them better. He always has a sassy comeback, and is known as "the smart one" of the group. They can also be misunderstood, as most intelligent people are. In episode 2, Spooky receives and entirely different message from Ruby when compared to the one he meant to deliver. Ruby assumes people understand what he's thinking, and tends to skip parts, as many Ravenclaws do. Ravenclaws are also known to be very creative, which Ruby once again demonstrates. He plans a whole quince and dance routine. When talking to Olivia he tells her, "I'm not good at sitting with feelings. I gotta work it out. So when people say sleep on it, I never do. I may nap on it, but I never sleep. I get right to the problem and fix it, but in this case, it can't be fixed." Ravenclaw house is searching for an answer to your question.

Jamal Turner: Last but not least is our boy, Jamal. He's a Slytherin, but not because it's the only house left. Jamal is ambitious as hell, never once giving up his quest for the Rollerworld money. He's determined and resourceful, willing to travel far and wide and willing to put himself in pretty sketchy situations, just for the chance to fulfill his dream. He is the one who figures out all the clues. He refuses to give up even when his friends tell him that its pointless, when it seems like it was just a myth, and even when all he has left are his bare hands. He is determined and keeps on digging until he finds the truth. And (spoiler!) when he finds the money, he still tries to get it to Cesar, who, for all he knew, could have become a murderer. Jamal is fiercely loyal to his friends, not matter what situation they are in, or how they act towards him, which is a true Slytherin quality.

Anyway these are just my opinions...hope you like them!
