YALL I JUST THOUGHT OF THE CRAZIEST CONSPIRACY THEORY FOR ON MY BLOCK! So you know how the episodes are labeled Chapter One, Chapter Two, and etc. Well what if the future author Monse is writing about her past and this is her book? Now here me out, I'm not done yet.
You know how in episode two where Jamal, Ruby, and Monse try to come up with a plan to get Cesar out of the gang using the three Ms rule? The table of contents in the binders Ruby made were in the order of Murder, Money, then Manipulation. What if this was a way of showing the parts of her book that future Monse is writing about?
Think about it. The first season is MURDER because of Cesar not being able to kill Latrelle. The reason why is because in the second episode Monse says "Murders off the table." which foreshadowed that Cesar wouldn't be able to commit MURDER. Monse also says "The irony would be too much." which foreshadowed Olivia and Ruby being shot. This first season is also MURDER because it's confirmed that one of them (Ruby or Olivia) dies.
The second season is MONEY and has to do something with Jamal and the Rollerworld money. But I don't think it's going to work out because in the second episode Monse says "Only white kids find treasure." which is foreshadowing the failure of the MONEY part in the story. So maybe Lil Ricky comes back and steals the money Jamal found. And I know what you're thinking. But he's dead! Well, is he really? In the show Jamal couldn't find any records of his death. Legit nothing but a grave stone. Also keep in mind that Lil Ricky was a genius. He created this elaborate plan to steal and hide all of this money that no one found until 30 something years later. If he wanted to fake his own death he could.
And finally the third season is MANIPULATION and probably has something to do with Cesar finally getting out of the Santos gang. I think that the crew is going to convince Oscar to finally let Cesar go. Why you may ask? Well in the second episode Jamal says "Through negotiation." which foreshadows the crew negotiating with Oscar to get Cesar out of the gang. Or it could also be that they all manipulate someone/something through negotiation and get out of Freeridge. Maybe they work something out with Lil Ricky if he stole the money from Jamal and they all run away from Freeridge.
What I'm trying to say is that the show On My Block is the book written by future author Monse that's about her past and all the three Ms are the three major parts in her book. - estreIIas
