Chapter 44

Amelia was sitting in the passenger seat of Owen's car. She had just finished physical therapy. She decided to not think about what happened before, and when she's ready she's ready. Owen was driving back to her house. Amelia turned to look at Owen.
"Hey honey?" Amelia said.
"Yeah?" Owen said.
"Can we stop and get coffee on the way home?" Amelia asked.
"Yeah sure," Owen said.
"Thanks," Amelia said.
"You're welcome," Owen said, "how did physical therapy go?"
"It was fine," Amelia said, "how was sitting in the waiting room?" They both laughed. Owen looked over at Amelia and saw her smile. He loved her smile, and he hadn't seen much of it lately.
"Hey you should smile more," Owen said, "it suits you."
"I will," Amelia said. Owen pulled through the drive through for the coffee place. He order their usuals and pulled up to the window.
"Hey do you wanna go out sometime this week?" Amelia asked, "Just you and me."
Owen smiled, Amelia smiled back and kissed his cheek.
"Yes I would love too," Owen said. He though of the ring he has for Amelia. He could propose then, he was so nervous though. He knows Amelia loves him, but he's scared he'll mess it up or say the wrong thing. He handed Amelia her coffee and she smiled again. Owen drove them home. The kids were both at school. Owen got out and walked over to Amelia's side. She got out and he kissed her head.
"I love you," He said.
"I love you too," She said. He put his arm around her as they walked inside. They got inside and decided to watch a movie. Amelia grabbed a blanket and sat down next to Owen. Owen kissed Amelia, and they cuddled after. Amelia was snuggled into Owen as they watched the movie. Eventually Owen realized that Amelia had fallen asleep on his shoulder. He looked down at her peacefully sleeping. He pulled the blanket over her more and she nuzzled into him more. She was the love of his life.
