Adelina Cortez's POV

"Kane," I said with a smile. "Yeah?" He questioned. "You're crushing me," I told him with a laugh. He chuckled and scooted off of my body. "Sorry. Let's get dressed and get out of here," he suggested and I nodded.

"Sounds good," I whispered, pulling my clothes back on my body. After we both dressed ourselves, I stood there, admiring him. His shirt was hugging his body perfectly. I then noticed the bags under his eyes.

"You haven't been sleeping?" I asked softly. "No, I've been preoccupied," he said and I raised my eyebrows. "Not like that," he said with an eye roll.

"I've been trying to rebuild a case against Dante. Since Andrew has done this, it'll help, but I can't feel like something is going to go wrong," he said softly.

"Stop worrying Kane. We're together. I'm yours. Your mine. We can get through this," I told him as I wrapped my arms around his body. He hugged my tightly and sighed.

"You have no idea how much you mean to Adelina. I couldn't bare to see you hurt. I can't live without you," he whispered and my heart fluttered.

I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch. "Let's get out of here. Dallas is probably worried about us," he said then groaned. I laughed and let out an unlady like snort.

"You're right. Plus, she might have lover boy over," I said smirking. His eyes went big and he growled. "Lover boy better keep his hands off of my sister."

"Kane, calm down. He's a good kid. They love each other. He's always been there for her. Let's get a room tonight and let them enjoy being kids. She's responsible enough to know to behave herself," I said with a soft smile.

"I guess Lina," he said and I laughed hard. He looked at me in confusion and I held my stomach. "Oh my god," I said, wiping the tear from my eye.

"What's so funny?" He asked in annoyance. "You just called me Lina. Oh my god. It was so sexy," I told him and he smirked. "Everyone else calls you Lina, so I figured I'd give it a go," he said childishly.

"I love you," I said and my stomach caught butterflies when he looked at me. His eyes held so much love and I couldn't help but smile goofily.

"You love me?" He asked softly. I nodded. "I love you Kane," I said once more and walked over to him. "It's crazy but I do. I love you," I whispered. "I love you too babygirl," He whispered and pulled me into his embrace.

I kissed him softly, letting myself get lost in the moment. He pulled away and sighed. "As much as I love kissing you baby, we need to get going," he whispered.

"Fine," I said in defeat. I grabbed my bag and walked over to the door. "Coming, handsome?" I asked. He chuckled and shook his head. "Let's go, beautiful." He walked over to me and grabbed my bag before opening the door.

"We'll come get your car tomorrow. Okay?" He asked and I nodded. "Okay," I said and walked over to his car. I pulled out my phone and texted Dallas.

It's okay honey. And I am a girl. I've snuck boys into my house before. Just be smart and safe!

"Dallas?" He asked with a frown. "She'll be okay. She said they are watching movies. Let her have a night of freedom. She's smart enough to not do anything stupid," I told him.

"I hope you're right," he mumbled and I rolled my eyes. "Just take us to get food please. Didn't really get to eat at the reception," I mumbled, causing him to glare.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. Not bringing it up. Just saying," I said with a little too much attitude. "Addy," he warned and I huffed in annoyance.

"Addy? Really? What's up with all the nicknames?" I asked, incredulously. "It's like you've forgotten my name." He growled and squeezed my thigh.

I bit my lip and moaned softly. "What's wrong Adelina? Does that turn you on?" He asked huskily. "Kane," I warned and he squeezed tighter, slowly moving his hand upwards.

Before I could say anything else, he removed his hand and I grunted. "Tease," I mumbled and he chuckled. "Only for you baby." I mocked him, causing him to laugh harder.

"Shut up and drive," I said in annoyance and he laughed again. "Okay Adelina. Okay," He said and backed the car out of the driveway. He headed in a direction I wasn't familiar with, so my body was on alert.

"Relax. Taking the back way to get food then we are going to a hotel," he said and I relaxed a little. "Okay. Just get me anything to eat. I'm taking a nap," I muttered before I let myself fall asleep.
