After checking out with the dress, we walk to the car. To my confusion, Alyssa said goodbye to the other bridesmaid and the groomsmen, Sky and Scott climbed into the backseat. I look over at Alyssa and she holds up her pointer finger, motioning for me to wait. I nod and get into the passenger side and as always, buckle my seatbelt. Scott clears his throat, "Um.. what are we doing?" Alyssa smiles, "Testing cake!" I grimace and look back at Scott, who is looking down, twirling his fingers around each other. I smile and I look back at Alyssa, "Fun!" She smiles right back. I like this shoppe already so much better than the dress shoppe. There are two older ladies and one middle aged woman behind the counter. The youngest comes over and asks, "How can I help everyone?" Alyssa smiles, "Oh, well we had a reservation to sample a few wedding cakes." The lady smiles, "Okay, who's the lucky couple?" Sky grins raises his hand and motions to Alyssa, "Us." The lady walks off to the back and yells back, "Just sit down anywhere you'd like, I'll be out." We choose a table with four footrests around it. I sit by Scott and Alyssa. The lady comes back with four plates and like eight super small squares of cake. She lays down four forks and says, "Taste one, loves! What are you waiting for?" I watch as Alyssa and Sky poke their forks into an eclair cake. It had a chocolate glaze and a French vanilla pudding inside, with gram crackers all over. Alyssa says, "Mmmmm, so good." Sky nods. Scott says, "Best one so far." I smile at his comment. He still has the best personality. He smiles back. We eat until Alyssa decides on having eclair instead of chocolate, and hazelnut coffee cake with raspberry jam. We all pile back into the car and then we go to another dress shoppe. I speak, "Alyssa, we have your dress." She nods, "I know, you need yours." She looked over at me and winked as my mouth dropped, "You're taking me shopping?" She nods and we all pile put. We walk into the shoppe and Alyssa says, "She needs a bridesmaids dress." The consultant nods, "There is a selection over there." I walk to the dresses and pick a few. After a bunch of fails.. I pick a grey knee length dress. The dress is has a low cutout in the back and it has a lace overlay that goes up to the neck, where it wraps around like a choker. The grey silk underneath though, has a sweetheart neckline. I love it! I walk out and twirl while Alyssa claps. Sky whistles and Scott stares, which somehow meant so much more. I smiled and took a bow. Scott smiled back and starts clapping with Alyssa. I end my show by throwing a wink over my shoulder. Once I came back out in my normal clothes, Scott looked me with the same craving as he did when I was in the dress. When I walked by him, I stopped. I grabbed his arm and jerked him down, so my face was in his ear. I put my other hand in his hair and said, "Stop looking at me like you want me. We both know you don't." I didn't make eye contact a single time as I let go and continued to Alyssa's car. After riding around for a few minutes, I peek at Scott. His eyes look tired, sad, and stunned. I saw him chew the inside of his lip. I wish I could. I want to be in Sky's seat and forget this all happened. I wish I could.
