As always, this is a dwts_ballerina idea

"Good afternoon, Kirst."
"Hey, Es. Case?"
"Yeah, although it's a little different."
"How so?"
"It's an art heist."
"Ooh, do tell."
"Last night, someone, or someones, broke into an art museum in the heart of LA. They didn't take anything too famous, although everything they took is very expensive. Probably a good idea to find it."
"Probably. I'll tell my team."
---
"Art heist," I announce to everyone as they grab their guns. Avi comes strolling out of his office just as I tell the team.
"Art heist?"
"Yeah, in a museum in the heart of LA, I guess. Nothing super famous, but very expensive? That's what Esther said."
"Sounds interesting," he mutters to himself as he heads into the elevator.
"Lovebirds," Scott smirks.
"Okay, we didn't even do anything that time," I say, sighing while simultaneously smiling. Both Mitch and Scott have been doing it all week since they found out about Avi and I. Kevin has picked it up, too.
"I mean, you are standing next to each other in the elevator, though," Kevin adds.
"We could just, like, make out in front of you all and you'd stop," Avi smirks.
"Please don't, we have a murder to solve," Mitch sasses, "we can't do that if you two can't stop sucking each others' faces off."
---
Once we finally arrive at the museum to investigate for evidence, a police officer guides us in the door.
"Yeah, so uh, someone came into the museum this morning-"
"Someone?"
"The first worker."
"There weren't security measures taken inside of the museum in the night?"
"There was, the thief got through them, evidently."
I nod in response as we reach the first section where a couple paintings are missing.
"The one in front of you was worth around 80,000 dollars. The one missing on the end is worth around 75,000. I have more information of all the paintings, but not off the top of my head."
He leads us around to all the different blank spots of the museum, finally leaving us to our own devices.
"Might as well start in this room," I say, considering it was the room with the most expensive paintings. The highest one being worth around 190,000 dollars.
"He could've sneezed, I guess," Scott mumbles to himself as he turns off the museum light and grabs the black light. He finds nothing in the end, and Mitch flicks the lights back on.
"I wish we could dust the whole room for fingerprints," Kevin says more to himself than anyone else. We're all kind of in the zone.
"Or the whole museum," I say in agreement.
"Any footprints that anyone has seen?" Avi asks, probably already knowing the answer. He gets no response, which is enough for him.
After we finish looking in that room, we head to another. And another. And another. There's no evidence. That we've found, at least.
