"Director."

"Don't sound so excited about having a case."

"Bursting with joy."

"34 year old Danielle Thiessen was murdered in her home last night at approximately 12:54 A.M."

"You there?"

"No, but your team is."

"What?"

"Police called them instead of me."

"Why?"

"I don't know. I will say I am very.. mad. Get over there, Maldonado."

"On my way, Koop."

I hang up the phone and grab my bag. No wonder no one was coming into the office.

---

"What do we got, Olusola?"

"Well, I believe the director told you most of it"

"Oh."

"Yep."

"Cause of Death?" I ask, already noticing there is no blood.

"I can't tell, I didn't want to touch her. I'll know more back at the lab."

"Have the other three found anything?"

"I don't know, they haven't come back since they went searching for evidence."

"How big is the house?"

"Did you look at it from the outside?"

"No, I was preoccupied."

"Like, ten-thousand square feet."

"So, she has a good job?"

"I'd assume so."

"What does she do?"

"Not sure yet."

I walk off to find The Special Agents in the living room. The body was found in her bedroom sprawled out on the floor under the bed.

According to the guys, they've checked the whole house.

"Anything of importance, evidence wise?"

"Well, you won't like this."

"Why?"

"Danielle had two children, twins," Mitch mutters.

"Excuse me?"

"And that's not all," Avi says, glancing at the other two.

"Spit it out."

"She was a part of the navy."

"So we have to fight NCIS?"

"Yep."

"Great. Have they found out about the body yet?"

"They're not here yet."

"Just got a call from the director of NCIS, he says he's coming to see the body. He'll also take the body and the evidence," Esther says, marching into the living room.

"Tell him I'll pass."

"The only way I can negotiate with his is to let them in on the case."

"Nope."

"I'll tell him that you'll keep them updated and you can keep the evidence and body?"

"Fine."

"You're difficult," Esther huffs, walking out.
