* THE NEXT DAY *
- Gabriel
I walked into my foster parents' house to get some more clothes and tell them about Amber.
"Where's Amber?" My foster mother asked.
"About that.. Umm, she kinda ran away with her boyfriend." I replied. Before I could even think about it, I felt a hand cross my face. My foster mother had smacked me so hard I fell to the ground. I looked up to see both Dana and Chris looking down at me.
"The hell do you mean she ran away?" My foster father yelled.
"Wade and I left and went out, and when we got back she was gone. I told the police and they're looking for her now." I told them as Wade helped me off the floor. My foster father grabbed Wade around the neck.
"You let my babygirl get away?!" He yelled.
"Aye, Chris, it wasn't my fault!" Wade responded, trying to get out of my foster father's grip.
"It wasn't his fault!" I yelled, pulling Chris off of Wade. He turned around and punched me, and continued punching me as Dana stomped on me. Chris turned around and backhanded Wade, but Wade returned the favor with a blow to Chris' face, sending him to the floor.
"You're moving back in." My foster mother told me.
"What? No! You can't make me move back into this hell whole!" I grabbed Wade's hand and headed toward the door, only to be pulled back by my hair. I was being dragged up the stairs as Chris held Wade back, pushing him out of the house. I kicked and screamed until I was let up. I came face to face with Dana, then slapped her. She gasped and grabbed her cheek.
"You'll pay for this." She said, walking out of the room.
I hate this house..

Chris and Dana beat me so bad, they excused me out of school and I had to stay home. I had an enormous amount of whip marks, cuts, and bruises covering every visible part of my body. I didn't have my phone, and they took my TV, plus half of my clothes were at the hotel with Wade. I hadn't talked to him all night and we still hadn't heard any news about Amber from the police.
I was starting to get nervous about where my sister was, and I felt like the police weren't doing a good enough job looking for her, so I decided to look myself. I jumped out of my window and ran to the park, then called Wade on the payphone. After waiting a few minutes, he pulled up and I hopped in his car.
"Hey baby." He spoke.
"Hey boo." I said, leaning over and kissing him.
"Damn, girl. Your face!" He said. "And your body."
"I know baby, they got me." I sighed. He kissed me again and asked,
"Where we goin?"
"You know the other day when we dropped Kylan off at his lil friend house?" He nodded. "Go there."
"You think Amber's there?"
"No, but ima try to get some answers outta Kylan lil friend." With that, Wade drove off.
We pulled up at the boy's house. I walked up and knocked on the door with Wade right on my heels. He opened the door and looked me over.
"Hey there. Who you, lil shawty?" He asked, licking his lips. He looked to be about my age, dark skinned, and dreads. He was fine as hell, but ian trippen.
"Umm, I'm Kylan's girlfriend's sister." I replied. "Can we come in?"
"Yea, who is he?" He asked, pointing to Wade. Before I could answer, Wade did.
