After school was over, I had to go to the police station to give them the evidence indicating that Reggie was my sister's kidnapper. I had no real proof, but I had to do whatever I could to show them he took her.
Wade came and picked me up from school, then we headed to the police station.
"What you gon tell them?" He asked me.
"I really don't know yet. I can tell them what he said to me in the hallway the other day, but other than that, I have no proof." I sighed and looked out the window. "What've I gotten myself into?"
"It's okay. If they don't believe you, we'll have to get it out of Reggie ourselves." Wade said as he rubbed my back. I nodded, leaned over and kissed him, then got out of the car. My hands shook as I walked up to the building.
"Hey, I'm here to speak to the police about Reggie Jules." I said to the receptionist sitting at the front desk.
"Walk down that hallway, first door on the right." She said as she pointed towards a hallway.
"Thanks." I walked down the hallway and into the room, where Reggie sat at a table with handcuffs on. An officer sat across from him, looking up at me.
"Ms. Mary?" The officer asked. I nodded. He stood up and shook my hand. "Officer Woods. Nice to meet you."
"Same to you." I said in return. Reggie was escorted from the room, and I sat in his seat.
"So, what information do you have for me today?" The officer asked, smiling, showing his beautiful pearly whites.
I told him everything I could, from what Mucho told me, to what Reggie said in the hallway. My lack of proof made me nervous, and I sat there fiddling with my hands the whole time.
"Well, we don't have much we can do right now. Until we get some hardcore evidence, we have to release Reggie." He said.
"Shit." I cursed myself. "Okay. Thanks anyway." I shook his hands and walked back out to the car with Wade.
"How'd it go?" He asked me, while scrolling through his phone. I stared blankly and shook my head.
"They have to release him. My evidence wasn't strong enough."

I sat in the bed and combed my hair, getting ready to go to work. Kylan called for me to come on, so I hurriedly grabbed my things, and we left. About 15 minutes later, we pulled to the new joint I was working at called Sizzle. My money had began to roll in, and I was loving every bit of it. Today, my routine was different, I was trying something new and it seemed that everyone loved it. I smoked a pipe, did my thing, and the day went by smooth as ever.
After my shift, Kylan agreed on taking me to the trap he works at. I was going to learn how to cook crack and roll a blunt, then eventually make drops for him. We pulled up in a matter of minutes after leaving the strip joint, and I basically ran to the door.
"Calm down, girl." Kylan told me. I simmered down and watched as he put in a code to get into the house.
"Why'd you have to do all that?" I asked him. He shook his head and laughed.
"There's a lot you gotta learn." I nodded and followed him through the house. We walked into a room and there were three guys sitting on a couch watching TV. "Was good my niggas?" Kylan said, dapping them.
"Shhhit, coolin. Who the chick?" One guy said.
"This my girl, Amber." Kylan said, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Ha, you had to get a snowflake didn't you?" Another asked.
"And what's wrong with that?" I asked, placing my hand on my hip. They all looked at each other for a while, then bust out laughing. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Where's the bathroom?" I asked.
"Across the hall." Kylan replied. I walked across the hall into the restroom. I did my business and began washing my hands, while looking in the mirror. 'What have I done to myself?' I thought. My skin was beginning to wrinkle, I had bags under my eyes, and I was losing mad weight. I can't do this anymore. What the hell was I thinking?
I walked across the hall to see Kylan sitting on the couch smoking a blunt. "I'm ready to go." I told him. He rolled his eyes.
"Why?" I could hear the attitude in this voice.
"Can we talk about this in private?" I asked.
"Nah, mane." I rolled my eyes and walked out to the car, remembering Kylan told me to hold the keys in my purse. I pulled them out, hopped in the car, and sped off. As I drove, to no where in particular, I pulled out my phone and dialed Gab's number.
Gab: Hello?
Me: Hey Gab, it's Amber.
Gab: Oh my God Amber I've been worried sick about you! Where are you? Wade and I are coming to pick you up now.
Me: Ha, I've missed your crazy self. But I'm in Cali. I'll hop on a plane and be there tomorrow.
Gab: Please be safe. I love you.
Me: I love you, too.
I hung up and immediately began crying. I can't believe I came out here. I fooled myself for a guy who couldn't give less than a shit about me. I could be at school, getting my education, soon to be going to the Bahamas to live it up with my sister and Wade. I'm such an idiot.

"One ticket to Atlanta." I said, sitting my bags down on either side of me.
"Today, tomorrow, or Sunday?" The woman asked.
"Today." I stated.
"ID?" She asked, holding out her hand. I handed her my fake ID that read I was 19. She examined it, then looked up at me. "Ma'am, you are not 19." She said, smacking her gum.
"What are you talking about? It's states plain as day that I'm 19 right there in front of you." I told her.
"Look at you. You can't possibly think you're fooling anyone. You're just a kid." She laughed. I looked down at what I was wearing: A lace bandeau, with breast pads, shorts, brown stilettos, tons of makeup, and my hair was up in a bun with a bandana tied around it. I looked very mature for my age.
"Ugh, fuck this." I mumbled, walking off. I sat in the lobby for what felt like hours, finally deciding on just riding the bus back home. It was a 33 hour drive, so I caught a cab to Walmart to rack up on snacks.
- Omniscient POV
Amber made it back to Atlanta safe and sound, meeting up with Wade and Gabriel at the Ritz-Carlton where they'd been temporarily staying. Although Gabriel and Amber had to go back home, there was only a month left before school was out, pushing Gab, Wade, and Amber to chose exactly what they were going to do to kill Dana, Chris, and Bethany. They all finally decided on setting the house on fire, and they had the perfect plan.
Reggie still didn't stop after the incident at IHOP. He still wanted Gabriel, and since his plan with Amber failed, he had to come up with a new one.
Shorter than usual, I know!
