Dad was against me going to school the next day. After what happened with my quirk, I'm wasn't very surprised. I'd probably be questioned endlessly by my classmates, but I knew it would be worth avoiding possible homework. So as much as Dad tried to force me to stay, I went anyways. He wouldn't be able to confront me about it in front of the class, as he probably didn't want them to know. But then again, this is Shouta Aizawa. He basically doesn't care as long as he can sleep.
I left home way sooner than he did, hoping he would give up on the whole thing. But when I arrived at the gates of U.A, I was met with a large mob of reporters. I attempted making my way through the crowd, but was soon bombarded with questions. "Excuse me, miss, but you're a student here, right? What's it like having All Might as a teacher?" Cameras and microphones were shoved near my face, and I grew nervous. "Um, I-I'd appreciate it if you could back up a bit." I hesitantly replied, trying to back out into the campus. "Please, just answer a few of our questions!"
A hand the grasped my wrist, and I heard a deep voice come from beside me. "She said to back off, so back off." I turned to see someone I saw in my class. His hair was half-red and half-white, and he had heterochromatic eyes with a large scar over one of them. He pulled me out of the crowd and onto school grounds, and I swiftly bowed. "Y-you're Todoroki, right? T-thank you for what you did back there. I wouldn't have gotten out if it weren't for you!" He merely nodded before walking towards the school. I followed him, and we made our way to class in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence, but a peaceful one.
Todoroki entered the class before I did, and I took a deep breath before I walked in, preparing for anything that may happen. When I walked in, I noticed most of the class was already here. "(Name)-chan?" Uraraka yelled out in shock before bounding over to me. "I was so worried about you! What happened?" I nervously glanced around, seeing the surprised expressions of some of my classmates. "I-its nothing to worry about, I'm fine now, s-see?" Giving a small smile, I looked around in an attempt to spot Iida or Bakugou. To my luck, I managed to see Iida sitting in his seat.
I walked over to him, lightly tapping his shoulder. "(Name)-san! What are you doing back so early? After what happened yesterday, I didn't expect you to show up." I lightly scratched my neck in embarrassment, giving him an awkward smile. "W-well, I'm fine now. It's just, I-I wanted to apologize for yesterday. If I hadn't tried to go stop Bakugou from acting so recklessly, I may have been able to help you defend the fake weapon from Uraraka. S-so, it's probably my fault we lost. I'm sorry." I looked down at my feet, and a hand placed itself on my shoulder.
"Don't blame yourself. Midoriya and Uraraka's plan was good, and there was no avoiding it. It was a noble, yet reckless decision on your part to try to calm Bakugou down with your quirk, despite the backlash. You acknowledged he was more capable and risked your own capability to fight in hopes we'd still be able to win. I respect you for that." I felt my cheeks begin to grow warm, and I glanced to the side. "But you gave us all quite the scare. I hope you will be able to gain full control of your quirk. It will very well be a powerful quirk that could prevent many violent confrontations between heroes and villains if used properly."
I smiled at the blue-haired male. "Thank you for that, Iida-kun." I figured class would be starting soon, so I walked back over to my seat. On my way there, I heard comments, mostly about what happened to me, and how I was back already. Well, Aizawa-sensei was my dad, and he had a bad reputation of going to work when he was still injured. He was a pro hero, so I couldn't blame him. I guess some of his stubbornness must have rubbed off on me.
The door slid open, and the scraggly man I knew as my father and teacher walked through the door. He saw me, and I could tell he was seriously unimpressed that I had went to school against his will. I nervously smiled as he glared at me, and then he spoke to the class about how they did yesterday. I had zoned out for most of it, until he went on to speak about Bakugou and Midoriya. "Bakugou, you have potential. Don't spend all your time moping because you lost. And Midoriya, don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your quirk. Takashiro, meet me outside the classroom." He stepped out of the room, and I felt all eyes on me as I awkwardly made my way outside the classroom.
