All I can say is, I have never been more glad that Shinsou has the quirk he does. Honestly, it probably saved both of our lives. Dad had obviously been too focused on the fact that there was somebody else, a guy nonetheless, in the same bed as me, to use his quirk, which was very out of the ordinary for him. Shinsou managed to ask him a question, and he answered. After that, he told him to walk away and forget this ever happened. Needless to say, I doubt I'll ever be able to underestimate a quirk like that. After that, he jumped out of the window (which was thankfully only a few feet off the ground), and walked off, presumably back to his own house.
The next morning, all Dad did was ask why there was a shotgun on the floor, which now that I thought about it, I didn't even know he had one. Besides that, school would be resuming tomorrow. I remembered what happened the day after our battle training, when Dad had told me to stay home and I didn't listen. Somehow I knew he'd do something like that, and there was no possible way I'd be able to convince him otherwise.
Honestly, after what happened last night, I didn't want to go outside. I just wanted to have a peaceful day in which I didn't have to have a possible near-death experience. But apparently, Dad had other plans. I was just sitting on the couch, wrapped in blankets for no apparent reason and watching whatever was on T.V. Just as it was getting to the good part of whatever I was watching, the television shut off. I turned to see Dad standing in the entrance with the remote in his hand, which he had temporarily removed the bandages from. "Kid, why are you sitting here doing nothing?" I blinked a few times in confusion. "Dad, why did you have to do that?"
"At this rate, you're going to end up like me." He shook his head, and I tried to bury myself deeper into the blankets. "I get we just had a villain attack, but you should remember the sports festival is still coming up. You should go out and practice your quirk." Groaning, I reluctantly got up off the couch. "But since the attack was so recent... should we really be having it so soon after?" I asked. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't question it, but it was literally just the other day! "I don't know. Honestly, I don't think we should have it right after something so big, but U.A wants to show that it didn't phase us or something like that, I don't know."
Realizing there was no way out of this, I got ready and made my way outside. I still felt tired for some reason. 'Sun, why are you so bright?' I pondered in my head, covering my eyes as I began to run down the street. When Dad and I were training, we had gone to a spot by the river, as it wasn't usually populated. I figured that I'd see if people were there before trying to find somewhere else. But then again, how would I train by myself? I've only recently been able to control my quirk, and even then it was probably because of adrenaline. I could practice the energy controlling again, but I've trained it so much already. Heck, maybe I could even walk around for a while. It might not do anything, but it'd be a good way to pass the time.
I eventually decided just to walk around. The street I was on was fairly populated, and it seemed quite lively. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I ran into someone I knew. Everything seemed so bright and cheerful, which wasn't unusual, but for some reason, it looked as if it were. I continued to walk down the busy street, occasionally staring at certain things in curiosity. Maybe this would be a peaceful day after all.

I returned home at what seemed to be 3:30, and once I neared the door, I swore I heard some weird noise. Once I opened the door, there was a few thumps on the floor above me. "Hey, Dad? I'm back." I walked up into the house, not seeing Dad anywhere, but some areas of the house looked as if they were messier than before. I walked up the staircase, still not seeing Dad anywhere.
On my way up there, I could have sworn I heard more thumps, as if someone were moving around quickly. Once I reached the door to Dad's room, I knocked. "Hey, Dad? Are you in there?" I asked, hearing only a grunt in response. "I'm coming in." I pushed open the door. The first thing I saw was Dad, his bandages looked like they were falling off in some places and his shirt was on inside-out and backwards. His pants also seemed to be backwards. "Uh, why are your clothes on backwards?" I asked.
"I forgot to wash other clothes and these ones are dirty." He stated, and I looked to him in disbelief. Part of me wanted to drop the issue and the other wanted to push it further. "Oh come on, I washed you some last week. Look!" I said, opening the closet. "You have shirts, pants, oh hi Present Mic, sweaters- wait..."
An awkward silence filled the air, and I walked out once I realized why Dad had kicked me out earlier. "I'm leaving now!" I shouted as I ran back outside. Apparently, I wasn't watching where I was going, as I had tripped and crashed into someone once I was about a block away. "Oww... why does this keep happening?" Quietly muttering under my breath, I opened my eyes to see golden ones staring back at me. "Wow, (Name), if I knew it was you I would have caught you." I quickly stood, avoiding further eye contact with the boy I now recognized as Kaminari. "S-sorry about that. I wasn't expecting to run into a-anybody..." Sheepishly, I scratched the back of my neck.
My eyes looked back up to Kaminari, who seemed to have stiffened slightly. "It's fine! And besides, I don't mind having you fall on me, (Name)-chan." He winked, and instantly I felt my cheeks warming. I turned my face away, wanting to go back home, but instantly changing my mind. "U-um, how about we go get ice cream or something? As a way for me to apologize for running into you?" I asked with a nervous smile. "You don't have to, but if you insist. It could even be a little date!" And I was back to blushing. "Y-yeah!" I stuttered in reply, and both of us walked off to a small ice cream shop nearby.
Me and Denki mainly talked about whatever we thought of, and he eventually brought up the group chat he made, and that almost all the class had been added. He was a dork, but he was quite funny. In all honesty, I can say that I'm glad I ran out of an awkward scene and crashed into him. And I suppose this day wasn't so boring after all.
Alright, I'm back with a new chapter I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to update last week! I know I said in the last chapter that it would be the last filler chapter, but I was just really busy over the past week, and this was the thing I was able to make the quickest. I promise that the Sports Festival arc will begin next chapter!!
I also did some editing on the Information Chapter and the First chapter, and I feel like it's a lot less rushed than it was before. I still have a lot of editing to do on other chapters, but I had to get this out for all of you.
Anyways, that's all for this chapter! Please correct any mistakes I may have made, and I'm sorry for any OOC-ness. Thank you all so much for reading this story, and I'll see you all next time!
