As I was running towards the arena, I had to stop myself as I nearly ran into Ochako. As I looked at her, I noticed she wasn't wearing the same gym uniform that she had been before. "Ochachan, what are you wearing?" I asked, extremely confused before I saw the other girls in our class wearing the same revealing cheerleader outfit. "Takashiro! You need to go put this on!" Yaoyarozu had shoved the same things into my arms, and I looked up at her in an embarrassed manner.
"W-what? I didn't hear anything about this!" I stuttered. "None of us did until just now. According to Kaminari and Mineta, Aizawa-sensei told them we had to be a part of the cheer squad. Here, Uraraka, would you mind going with her?" Ochako immediately nodded and began dragging me to the nearest change room. "Huh? Wait, are you sure this isn't just a prank?" My embarrassment was obvious by now. Apparently, my words fell on deaf ears as I was shoved inside, staring down at the outfit in my arms.
"This can't actually be legit, can it?" I whispered to myself, but despite my doubt, I began changing into the same cheerleader uniform the other girls had on. I knew that either way, I'd be forced into it. I kept my hair the way it was, looking down at myself before walking out the door.
"Woah, (N/N)-chan! You look totally awesome in that!" I felt my cheeks warm up for some reason. "T-thanks. Let's get back to the others." We walked much slower this time, but once we had arrived, the other girls were practically ready to head outside already. As we walked in, I heard Present Mic speaking, but wasn't paying attention to exactly what. At least, until he brought up the fact that they had cheerleader shipped in from America.
"What's this?" And, "What are they doing?" Came from the announcers stand, and the both fathers were obviously referring to the girls of Class A. "I knew it was just a prank!" I squealed, hiding behind Yaoyarozu. "Mineta! Kaminari! You tricked us!" Momo had yelled, leaning over in an embarrassed manner. As I looked out in front of me, I locked eyes with Kaminari, and immediately my face heated up in embarrassment. He smirked and began to walk over to me, but suddenly froze, looking where I assumed to be behind me. He turned and walked in the opposite direction, something resembling fear in his eyes.
I turned quickly only to be met with someone's chest. I looked up to see none other than Hitoshi glaring off in Kaminari's direction. "What in the hell are you wearing, (N/N)?" I blushed even more, knowing it was Hitoshi who saw me like this. "Well, after I left, the girls in my class said that there was supposed to be a c-cheerleading competition or something. It turned out that it was just Kaminari and Mineta playing some stupid prank..." Hitoshi's eyes seemed to darken. "I'll beat 'em up." I froze only for a second as Shinsou started to walk towards them. "waIT HITOSHI NO!"
As I was about to grab onto his arm, Midnight once again spoke up. "To determine the winner of this year, well have a formal tournament. But to be more descriptive, a series of one-on-one battles!" She continued to explain, but once she announced that they were going to start drawing lots, Ojiro had spoken up. "Excuse me, I'd like to drop out."
Everyone began to protest, and I felt a tiny but of guilt as the 1-B boy also dropped out. In their place were two if the people we had taken points from, Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki. As the matchups were announced, I let out a shaky breath. 'So I'm up against Ashido first, and then... Hitoshi is up against Deku.' I glanced around for my purple-haired friend, only to feel a tug on my wrist as he walked by Midoriya, saying something inaudible to me.
"Alright, (N/N), go change out of that cheerleader costume." Hitoshi said. He had dragged me over to where the bathrooms were, and I had my bag with my gym clothes inside of it at my hip. "I'll wait out here, just... change out of that." It almost seemed as if he were trying to keep his eyes off of me, and I smiled, finding this side of him adorable.
